I went there for an MOT and had my drivers floor mat ruined. Why didn't they use paper covers like every other garage I've ever been to?? Also witnessed a young mechanic race a car into the garage and skid to a halt. Not sure if it was his own car or a customer's, but not what you want to see!
My Mother had a clutch fitted by Phil’s autos in December 2023. After having the car serviced by a reputable mechanic she had a phone call from the garage asking her to come down to see them immediately. The car had been left in a dangerous condition by Phil’s autos, needing a new driveshaft with several bolts missing following there work for a replacement clutch.According to the reputable mechanic there’s no way this damage would of occurred if Phils autos would of used the correct bolts and fittings.After sending photos of the damage to Phil’s Autos they won’t except any liability for work they’ve carried out for little over a month ago. Go very careful with these dangerous cowboys who obviously won’t endorse their own shoddy work people!
Small garage, but friendly and trustworthy.
I first used this garage about 8 years ago when I was told by another garage that I needed a new turbo (around £1000), and wanted a second opinion.
The young lad working there at the time found a split hose within 10 minutes.
Replaced and sorted in no time.

We take all our family vehicles here and every time, it has been great service from Matt and all the staff. We prefer the "family run" touch and have found that the service we get is always honest, and the staff are very approachable with any problems that arise. Repeat business is key and we will always continue to take our cars back to them.
