We've had two recent experiences at this pharmacy. Both times the staff have been very helpful. Most recently, they went out of their way to help us in sorting out a diagnosis with an out of hours Doctor. Then, despite the pharmacist needing to go home unwell, they stayed on late on a Saturday evening so I could pick it up for our toddler.
Above and beyond service and very much appreciated!
Doctors in general are fantastic always helpful in my experience and I have been going there for over 10 years but I have simply had enough of the receptionist there they are all the same rude unhelpful and as soon as you try and speak they just talk over you to make a point so you have no chance to respond back these people need to be held accountable for how they deal with patients and they never are and this is a view shared by most in our town this has always been the case what I don’t understand is why after all this time the surgery dosnt hire different staff it’s the only issue in my view with the surgery.
Appalling, rather aggressive service. Unfriendly and chaotic staff. I paid for the delivery service and today, not unusually, is the third time in a row that I've had to collect myself - so what am I paying for?
This place has no manners, no friendliness and is in an absolute state inside. Easily the worst pharmacy I’ve ever seen.
Absolutely dreadfull, lack of stock, a complete health and saftey violation with boxes and crates everywhere, staff lacknthe most basic of manners and skills to even do the job. Calls into question if some of the staff are even qualified
Would put no stars. Went to pick up my prescription only for them not to beable to find it. When it was finally found they told me I'd already picked it up. When I said I hadn't they said well someone else who knows your date of birth then. I have no other family in Calne apart from my husband who works full time and had come with me to pick up my prescription.
Clearly they have made a mistake and someone else has taken my prescription or they made an admin error. I am now left with no anti depression tablets and have postnatal depression because they don't believe me and refused to help.
Opening hours are brilliant. 99% of pharmacy's are 9-5 but this one is open 7am -930 everyday l.
Also pharmacies are barly open on a Saturday let alone a Sunday. Again 7am - 9pm. Considering nearly everyone works 9-5 collecting prescriptions are are a nightmare. With northlands this is no problem at all.
They also process prescriptions very quickly once they receive them. Usually pharmacies take 3-5 days to get them ready l. Here they are ready the next day 2 days at a push.
As someone who has around 10 different medications that I take daily northlands makes everything much easier and much less stressful.
Everyone needs to ignore the 1 star reviews. People complaining they had to wait outside this was covid safety precautions. THEY ARE LOOKING AFTER YOURS AND THIER OWN HEALTH. and people complaining about things not being ready must expect to be able to collect thier prescriptions instantly which is ridiculous this doesn't happen anywhere.
I have ordered and collected probably over 250 different items and I have NEVER had to wait more than 48 hours 75% of the time it was ready within 24 hours. This is extremely efficient in comparison to the other 15 or so different pharmacies I've used in my life.
Awful,disorganised and slow. No matter what time I turned up for collection, if it be the first caller of the day, or in the middle of day or last thing, they could not find prescriptions. There appeared to be no logical system used to find the items for collection. ie they didn't seem to file meds under surnames or similar system and when asked they said "items could be anywhere!" They frequently did not fulfill the full items on the prescription. Staff seem to work at snail pace. This is the worse pharmacy and I have since moved to a different one.
