Sent there by NHS111 at considerable distance. No one qualified to diagnose my complaint, the doctor's inspection light wouldn't work...simply sent me to Durham A&E... miles away from home. What a terrible place..packed waiting room and 6 hour wait with no one available to investigate my eye problem ...
I went home.
NHS 111 needs sorting out!
Had to go and get an x-ray on my chest. The staff were so helpful and I was in and out within 30 minutes
Was refused medication.Condition worsened by next day.Had to call 111 at 5am,ambulance crew sorted me with help from GP.
Was a waste of my time and I was in agony ,will not go there again-ever.

Appointment was made via 111. Upon arrival there was a short wait to be seen. Paid parking on site.
I visited the hospital this morning after calling 111. I was greeted by an efficient and friendly receptionist. I waited over my appointment time because of an emergency which is common in the health service. I was assessed by a member of staff and met 3 more staff in the xray department. They were all professional and friendly.
They don't do any work here. It's one of many NHS hubs that sponge money off the local community and taxpayer for services they advertise but do not deliver. Empty much like the Nightingales during covid. Complete waste of public funds. I went there after a car accident and spinal injury. Most patients are fobbed off or sent away after waiting months for a referral.
Giving this a one star rating because I can't give it a 0. Can't fault the staff in the diabetic dept. They were all lovely. It is the car parking system that is diabolical. Both machines out of order so could not pay. All my husband got from the receptionist was a letter with a phone number and e mail to get in touch with. Tried ringing the pay by phone option and everything was automated. After half an hour credit ran out on phone. After numerous other automated phone calls we got nowhere. We suggest if you do go there try and find a space outside. We eventually got through with an email to the NHS and were told the car parking company has got an immunity in place. Hopefully we don't get a fine like the pregnant lady did. It has been a very stressful experience to say the least.
Been visiting here for my antenatal appointments and on the 25th February the parking machine was covered up and had a big poster on saying out of order. I went to reception to check if I still needed to pay for parking somehow and was told that I didn't need to pay, that the parking company were aware of the situation, but that I should take a photo of the machine just in case. Followed this advice but still received a parking fine, made an appeal but still enforced to pay the fine as apparently there are different methods of paying for parking (an app??) poor advice from reception has just cost me £40 for a 10 minute antenatal appointment. At 8 months pregnant I have far better things to be using £40 for. Feel really let down.
