Best KPortal Reviews
Hi there. I just wanted to say the customer service I received at Perth Orthodontics was absolutely fantastic. Your receptionist is beyond exceptional. A warm welcome, informative and nothing was too much trouble. You only get one chance to make a ‘first impression’ and she made a great one. A fantastic representation of your business and would be an asset to any organisations ‘front of house’.
My daughter has been fortunate in having her braces fitted, did the full course with no missed appts. Brace treatment completed successfully. Retainers prescribed. Daughter really dedicated in wearing them every night as directed. Very complient with treatment throughout. Just unfortunate right near the discharge date (i think!) she got Covid which caused an excrutiating sore throat and extreme pain on swallowing plus congestion. Wearing the retainers during this 10 days at night was impossible. Called practice to explain and was told it would be £180 for a re fit appt (and new retainers) I said as it was close to the end of the treatment period anyway i didnt want to go ahead so the receptionist just discharged her there and then. Which is fine - but i probably would have felt happier if she had at least spoken to the orthodontist and come back with best practice advice.
Anyway - lesson from this is be sure to force your child to wear retainers every night even when choked up with cold or at least set 200 quid aside and hope your child doesn't get multiple colds during treatment! We were so lucky my daughter was just covid the once at the end.
Feel the practice needs to sort out insurance policy for clients to take out to guard against big bills like this.
Happy with end result on daughter's teeth though????
Perth needs another orthodontist to set up a practice. I assume it's the monopoly which makes Perth Orthodontics incredibly difficult and slow to deal with. This is my third kid with braces but nothing has improved over 8 years. Scheduling is hard to fit in, they charge you £10 even if you're a few minutes late, they show no interest in the individual child or eagerness to see them progress through the treatment. If you are three minutes late, they will charge you money and offer you a new appointment two months into the future.
Separately, they don't pick up the phone even when during their short opening time. Who in this day and age has a 1 hour long lunch break middle of the day? And why no email address under contact us? I do not have the impression that the employees here take any interest in anything other than their salaries.
This review is based on my conclusion after years of visits that they are shockingly inflexible about appointments. With the covid backlog they showed no urgency in getting kids progressing through their treatment once clinics opened up again. They've fined us and sent us away multiple times although the individual treatment sessions (adjustments) would only take a few minutes and could surely be fitted in if they were interested in the child itself. I am referring to delays of a few minutes for families trying to get kids from school to a city centre locale during busy traffic.
If you can travel to a recommended orthodontist in Dundee or Stirling, where there's more competition, I would ask for a referral to one of them if NHS allows you. They will surely be more flexible, and hopefully keener to help children.
Great experience , receptionist and all staff very accommodating and professional , happy with my smile
Good orthodontists, terrible rude receptionist. Wrong dates given out for appointments, very disorganised.
Phoned for an update on my son’s treatment, promised a call back. One week later I called them, still no update so a week wasted. Waiting on them calling back again.
Absolutely disgraceful treatment of my autistic niece and my sister. Both left in tears, no complaints procedure online, treatment made by an incredibly unprofessional, demeaning and rude orthodontist called Keri Weatherhogg. Appalled doesn't even come close.
The worst service at Perth Orthodontics.
My daughter got the worst service you could ever get from Keri Weatherhogg. She was always stressed when she went for a visit and left with tears in her eyes, I don't think it should look like this. In my opinion, this person should not work in such a profession at all and certainly should not work with children and young people. Receptionist are all very rude there as well.
Avoid...my son wasn't coping with his retainer after 6 weeks and was unable to speak properly so asked dentist if a brace was possible but was rudely given a long speech and lecture about my son's brushing habits which had absolutely nothing to do with intended appointment...she ranted and raved ... extremely unprofessional in my opinion...the bottom brace fell apart after a few weeks but was told that it was because my son was removing his retainer... absolute rubbish... also reception staff are rude, pushy and patronising... when I cancelled an appointment I was scolded and told I,d be fined £15 ! I will be looking for another practice asap
