A rude and misogynist place.

After waiting for a while to be served the assistant started serving 2 men who had arrived after me. All 3 of them ignored me. They were all Iranian so perhaps that's how it works in Iran. When I flagged it up to them that I was there before I managed to get served but the assistant started serving the Iranian men again before she was finished with me. I asked for a plastic spoon for the items I'd bought and I was given a dirty one. When I asked for a clean one I was ignored. I was being treated like a nuisance in favour of these men. That was clear. I ended up getting a clean spoon from somewhere else and I will never be back. I hope that they improve their hygiene and respect for women. In the UK they need to respect local norms and social conventions.

Persian / Middle Eastern supermarket. Fantastic selection of groceries, you can find most Middle Eastern products here. Pricing is okay, and staff are always helpful.

Persian and Middle Eastern specialising mini-market with bakery section for fresh sangak and barbari bread. I can without a doubt say that visiting Persia Supermarket is an experience. For starters, you will immediately hear some Old School Persian music of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. This is to be embraced and people will not mind if you break out Persian dancing (I think). The store is also always decorated for the big Persian occasions (eg. Nowruz, Yalda). As for the groceries, the place is absolutely filled to the brim with fresh fruit (not just Middle Eastern fruit/veg but also groceries from further afar eg. Chinese pear, dragonfruit). There are also fresh biscuits, olives and a butchery section, as well as an entire two shelves full of dried date fruits. The only thing I would say is that the cash desk/tills/customer service area are a bit chaotic - sometimes, there is not enough space to pack one’s groceries in haste without disrupting other things on the till shelves.

poor customer service and hygiene, very rude male staff. I tried them quite a few times but they never miss the opportunity to disappoint. Good luck competing with all the shops around you with this low standards.

I have ordered one cake and they told me it’s with walnuts and banana, I reached home I discover that there is nothing in the cake no walnuts no bananas. They just told me this to sell the cake.
