Had to wait for food to be cooked which was fine, then to get home and see the state of the food very disappointing, the attached photo is suppose to be battered chips, the other meals has a mixture of battered and original chips all super greasy ????
Will not be visiting again!
My favorite fish shop without a doubt. The bathered chips are amazing and I can’t get enough of the chicken nuggets. All the food is fresh and tasty. Staff friendly and profesional. Definitely would come back!
Walked up from canal hoping to eat there but it is strictly takeaway. However, the fish and chips were so hot they were right for eating once we got back to the boat - and I don't walk very fast. Best f&c we've had for a while. (We were asked whether we wanted plain or battered chips. Battered chips? Who's idea was that? Had some last week without being asked. Yuk.)
This chip shop has new management and is considerably better. The battered chips are great along with the reasonable pricing. Have returned 3 times, this is now our regular fish and chip shop. Glad to have a decent one back in Penkridge after so long.
Ordered previous evening for pick-up Sat 6th at 5pm an order for a total of 7 fish & chips etc. I arrived at said time just as my order was being completed. Everyone complemented me on my choice of chip shop and were over the moon with their meal, so consequently new customers are in the pipeline. Congratulations 110%.
Great foood, fish batter could be thinner and crispier but battered chips are great in particular.
Food is lovely if the young lady wants to serve you. Went in at lunch time order chips said machinr was broke said id go co op. Reply was were closing now so u wont have time. Real shame as food is really good
We bought a large portion of chips and requested lots of salt and vinegar. When we got home the salt and vinegar had been omitted so that was a bad start. The chips then proved to be the worst we've ever had and were pale and completely tasteless. Not a hint of potato or chip flavour to be had. Given that they cost £4.20 we feel pretty miffed. The establishment was clean but the staff were sullen and obviously wanted to be anywhere but there. Avoid this chip shop at all costs!
