This is not the easiest of petrol stations to use situated on the roundabout at the junction of the Oxford, West Wycombe and Princess Risborough Roads, but at the moment it is one of the cheapest around.
The forecourt is relatively small and pretty standard in its layout and as is now usual self service.
It has the usual convenience foods etc in the shop where payment is made. A bonusI have always found with this petrol station is that the staff have always been friendly to deal with.
My car failed its MOT due to a dodgy exhaust back box. Pedestal Garage were able to put on a new back box the same afternoon, loan me a courtesy car free of charge and I picked my car up before 5pm. The price quoted was the price charged. Fast, friendly, efficient service - what more could you ask for?
Bought a gem of a used Ford Focus from here, easy and pleasant transaction. Some negotiation on price and repairs but never felt pressured, always professional and friendly. Salesperson didn't make things personal or get irritated like other garages I have visited. Price was very good for the condition of the car. Sales centre is also attached to a garage, which makes it easy to put 'stuff to fix' into the negotiations since they get labour at cost.
Garage also successfully carried out request repair work agreed as part of sale, which took two attempts to solve the issue at their expense (difficult to diagnose) but we got there and the car is super. On my short-list if I need another car. Thanks!
Do not buy a vehicle from this garage!
Bought a low mileage mini one from them for good money.
After a week or two of owning the vehicle it had to go back there for a variety of warning lights and also for things that were ment to be repaired before the car was collected when bought but these things weren't done.
The when the vehicle was a week out of its warranty the water pump was leaking coolant everywhere causing the car to overheat. When we contacted them about this bearing in mind all the other problems we had dealt with they said there was nothing they could or would be prepared to do! I understand the vehicle has a warranty time for a reason but for it to be out by a week and for them to not even contribute towards repairs is outrageous! I work for a car dealer myself and we would do all we can to help keep the customers coming back. Pedestal will just take your money and leave you high and dry!!!!
My girlfriend was quoted a price on 4 tyres to buy and fit and quoted £60 for midrange tyres. When it comes to paying it, it worked out £85 a tyre as they hadn't included vat, new valves and disposal of the old tyres. They also let slip they'd fitted the budget range tyres.
They also did a service for us previously and ended up insisting we needed new brakes (so we had a £600 bill) even though it had only recently been mot'd. Since then the service light comes on every day.
Won't be using again as don't trust them.
Bought a used Ford car in pedestal garage West wycombe can't say it is a second hand car. Good condition and worth for money. Excellent and pleasant customer service. The sales man was very polite and pleased to answer to my questions. I am pleased to recommend pedestal garage for used car buyers.
I took a Romahome (Citroen C15 based motor home) to Pedestal for an MOT. It failed on stop lights reversing lights, exhaust and misaligned headlights. I ask them to put it right. After 3 weeks it still wasn't done . I week later, I rang and was informed that they couldn't work out the wiring. So I ask them if they'd like the Haynes manual and the wiring diagrams. They said yes so I took it in. 10 days later they informed me it was ready and that I could pick it up. When I arrived to collect the van I was informed a tyre had gone flat and "they just couldn't get it to pump up". So having got a new tyre put on it I was then billed £400 for this fiasco. The front headlight is still loose and only one reversing light worked after collection (it worked before).
If you want repairs go somewhere else. You would be better of getting your car fixed by Laurel and Hardy.
re Service Centre. Just recently had a great full service on my vehicle - feels like a new car. Acceleration is much improved, and annoying brake squeak has gone. Free courtesy car too.
