The food is very high-end and delicious. The price is good value for money. The restaurant environment is very comfortable and the staff is very friendly.
There is a really good Chinese pop up restaurant here. Lovely friendly staff and fantastic food at reasonable prices. A better menu to choose from than many restaurants.
They have just started doing Chinese food in house which was amazing. The service was spot on, they came to our booth in the bar and told us our food was ready. We were greeted with a table full of delicious food. It came to about £16 each and was well worth the money.
Pearsons bar (the zoological) is a large Street corner pub. There is a wide selection of beers and lagers, however there are six hand pumps and no cask conditioned real ale on at all which is a deal breaker for me. It's a comfortable nice pub with dart boards and a pool table. There's plenty of outside seating, a nearby paid car park and free on street parking nearby. Dog friendly.
This pub, while decent, can get quite lively and bustling, especially during late hours when other establishments have closed. It's a great option for those seeking a late-night venue with a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to continue the night's festivities when other options have shut down, this pub is worth considering.
Owner and staff are so lovely! And with pool and fruit machine it's got proper pub feel, open til late to keep the good vibes going
‼️Only thing I'd say (not the pubs fault) is there's an older gentleman, all white hair, a local to Hull and regular to here - comes across quite eccentric- bad teeth and all white hair probably on his 60s - ‼️warning‼️ if you're not white, and especially if you're a girl it seems, this geezer will stare at you and after a few pints may very well ask you what you're doing in his pub and his country - the signature move is singing songs AT you, very intimidating and racist. Also gave an unassuming Romanian lad a hard time. So just speak to staff/make sure you're not vulnerable as this chap is quite unhinged. Drinking a beer usually on his own, singing out of context and unpleasant googly eyes that he'll use to make you feel uncomfortable - very opinionated, hasn't seen the sun or had a hug for a wee while I reckon. Flat cap, looks like he'd make your into a lovely lamp if he could ????
Again staff cracking so have a word if.tjis guy picks you to harass for the evening ????
Not been in here in years, met up with a couple of friends for a few drinks and it had a really nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and good prices at the bar x
Went here one quiet afternoon. Nice if large pub. Free parking if you see the bar staff. Didn't try the food. Nice seating area outside. Great pub for large groups.
