We had lunch at Papaya Restaurant. Service was efficient and friendly, and the food was great with large portion sizes. The smoothies were a welcome relief on a very hot day.
Wir waren 2 Wochen auf Ko Lanta und haben jeden Abend hier gegessen. Das Essen wurde immer frisch zubereitet und war ausnahmslos köstlich. Einzig die Wartezeit könnte manchmal, gerade wenn der Laden voll ist, etwas kürzer sein. Aber alles im Rahmen und vor dem Hintergrund, dass das Essen einfach unfassbar gut schmeckt, in jedem Fall die Wartezeit wert. Für zwei Hauptgerichte und zwei Fruit Shakes zahlt man i.d.R. Ca. 360 THB - im Anbetracht der Qualität und der Größe der Portionen also auch völlig in Ordnung. Wir werden es sehr vermissen!

I ordered a chicken Pad Thai and have to say it was really tasty and size of the portion was definitely above standard, so I had full tummy. However the staff didn't seem to be very, friendly, just they didn't care very much.
I had Pad Thai Gai, Papaya salad and a lemon shake. I had big hopes for the salad, because of all the good reviews I read here, but food was only okay - all in all too sweet for me and not enough flavour. But the shake was very tasty.
Alles fantastisch vom Anfang bis zum Schluss. Das Essen kann nicht besser schmecken. Wir haben einen Thai-Tee, einen Kokosnuss Shake, Rotes Thai Curry mit Hänchen und Ananas, Wasserspinat mit Knoblauch, Tofu mit Gemüse, Papayasalat und gebratene Bananen mit Honig bestellt. Allererste Sahne - einfach hervorragend. Die Köchin versteht ihren Job.
Definitely the best food that I tried, while in Ko Lanta! We were visiting this restaurant regularly, it was always the best choice. Prices are very reasonable, the food is incredible, and owners are very hospitable. I usually like to visit as many places as possible, but in this case, I really didn't mind to visit Papaya Restaurant almost every day during my stay :) Highly recommended.
