All of us who are Bangladeshi like to eat food in Bangladesh, but we have never eaten such bad food! I bought vegetable singara and boot bhaji and it tasted so bad I have never eaten in my life. I threw 12 pounds in the bin! If I had donated 12 pounds to poor people, they would have prayed for me a lot. I request my Bangladeshi brothers not to buy any food from this restaurant????????????????
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was abysmal – slow, inattentive, and rude.
As for the food, it was a culinary disaster. The dishes were absolutely flavorless, NOT fresh at all and poorly presented. It felt like a complete waste of money, and I left with a sense of regret for going there at the first place. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs.
AVOID THIS DISGUSTING PLACE.
We used this company for catering service on 2 previous occasions. The order was being managed by another owner, who is no longer with the business. Those 2 events ran smooth and the food was great.
The most recent catering service (10/12/23) was for a Nikah party and we were left completely embarrassed. The food literally filled the venue with the smell of vomit. The meat curry was completely off and all the guests were complaining. The worst part, the manager was in complete denial at first, saying there is no smell and then later blamed the butchers (as if he had no responsibility or fault). Those few who did eat complained of food poisoning the next day.
The price per head (£29) is more expensive in comparison to other well known catering companies (£23), but we were happy to pay the extra due to the previous positive experience with them.
I will be reporting to food standard agency. Until they get closed down, avoid this place!
The food reviews might have painted a somewhat inaccurate picture, but the service experience was utterly unacceptable. From receiving the wrong dish twice to minuscule portions that wouldn't satisfy a 6-year-old, every aspect of our dining experience fell short. Delays and improper portions were just the beginning, as one of the waitstaff clumsily dropped food on our table and still attempted to serve it. When questioned, the response was dismissive, claiming the table was clean. As a fellow Bengali, I felt deeply embarrassed by the representation of our culture. I urge you to reflect on these shortcomings and strive for significant improvements moving forward.
Pach Bhai Restaurant is another Bangladeshi street food restaurant in Whitechapel, East London. It is a must-visit for foodies who are looking to indulge in authentic Bangladeshi street food. The restaurant offers a range of options including lunch, dinner, and all-day breakfasts. You can enjoy a variety of mouth-watering snacks like Samosa, Rolls, Chops, and Porotha, all cooked to perfection. The hot Porotha and Egg are especially noteworthy and simply fabulous! If you visit early in the morning, you'll be treated to piping hot snacks that taste absolutely lush. Whether you're a fan of spicy or mild food, Pach Bhai Restaurant has something to offer for everyone.
Having said that, they need to improve on their customer service and treat every customer equally!
This is the restaurant I visit most of the time when I travel to London. It’s in Whitechapel and it’s very close to the Whitechapel subway. It’s an authentic Bengali restaurant. Tried lota( straight beans) shutki ( fry fish) fish, shim ( flat green beans) and it’s ayer fish curry. Very tasty dishes.
UNHYGIENIC!! RIP OFF !!
Waste of money. Also had food poisoning after I had samosas! Totally RIP OFF ! Pictures posted. Large samosa filled with tiny portion of meat ! The layers of the samosas were so thick with lots of flour ! Samosas are not like that ! !! Don’t get fooled here !!!! The toilets are next to kitchen !
