I have tried every coffee shop in Monmouth and can honestly say the Oxford is the BEST.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff are great. I understand it’s a family business and they put the nationals to shame. If you want to sit outside on a chilly day, they will supply you with a blanket to keep warm.
Inside is cosy and comfortable with a lovely sofa and table and chairs.
I’ve had most of the drinks on the menu including coffee, hot chocolate, iced tea, milkshake and can honestly say they are all delicious. A great variety but with consistent quality.
The food is freshly cooked to order. The portions are generous and are well presented. The prices are competitive. They also offer a takeaway service.
If you go once, you will soon become a regular.
Best veggie sausage sandwich in Monmouth! Sweetest staff, great menu and good value for money. Their coffee is rocket fuel too! Definitely recommend.
Cold, rainy day and walked into this cafe because it looked nice and welcoming. Sat by last table left by the open door with my elderly father in law who complained that he felt cold. We all felt a little chilly so asked the owner if it was possible to shut the door (just while we were sat there). She refused saying it was their only form of ventilation as they got warm in the kitchen. We then all decided to leave as it would have been too uncomfortable for my father in law to remain there as there was rain coming in the door. Obviously happy to miss out on 5 customers!
Absolutely fantastic coffee and service, very polite, clean and the food was amazing, got a very warm welcome.

Popped in for a drink after a long hike, lovely inside, comfy chairs and the Jammy Dodger milkshake was delicious.
Me and my daughter absolutely love this coffee shop and is a regular meet up spot for us! You are always made to feel welcome and you can not fault the food! The food is cooked fresh to order and the portions are big so you get a lot for your money. The owners will always go above and beyond and will try and cater to your needs. They offer a smaller sized freakshake for their smaller customers which I know my grandsons enjoy massively. Definitely worth a visit.
Best coffee shop in Monmouth. Chelsea and Shane the owners are very welcoming and their staff are always friendly. The food is made to a very high standard and you get a lot for what you pay! I would 100% recommend the toasties they are amazing! They offer a wide range of drinks including their amazing freakshakes, they offer endless amazing flavours so will cater to anyone! Great place to have a catch up with a friend or a nice family day out treat! You can not fault this hidden gem of a coffee shop! Looking forward to my next visit!
I went with a friend. We had coffee ☕ and bacon ???? sandwich ???? each. They were very nice. Nice and thick bread. I will come again next time I am in Monmouth. A nice Coffee shop . And very friendly staff.
