Best KPortal Reviews

I've just visited Oui Crêperie for the first time and had a 'Classic' (cheese & ham - I held off on the garlic). It was delicious. Just the right amount of ground pepper & a sprinkling of rocket. The Mocha was also delicious & I was most impressed (and grateful) that the barrister noticed her mistake in giving me cow's milk when I'd requested Almond. It was remedied before I'd taken a sip. Most places would have kept quiet & just hoped I didn't notice. Service was spot on & I'm sure I'll be back.
Absolutely lovely food, fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. I had a savoury Galette with chorizo that was fantastic and my partner had a white chocolate crêpe which they loved. I Would highly recommend paying a visit. It's reasonably priced and we were offered a student discount completely unprompted.
Oui Creperie offers lovely crepes, and the cafe is a nice environment to eat; however, I feel compelled to share my experience regarding the work environment. I suggest that if you are a younger student looking for a job, you perhaps shouldn't work here.
Although I only had a brief stint working here last year, the negative experiences I encountered with the owner during that time have had a lasting impact on me. I wasn't going to go as far as to write a bad review, until hearing from multiple other girls that they felt the same way- some who had been working here longer than i had and some who had just started- so i felt inclined to say something.
The owners demeanour is consistently rude, snappy, impatient, and unfair to people that are genuinely trying their best. I understand there is a standard to meet when working in hospitality, but it felt as if the comments that were made were particularly harsh and unwarranted. I am generally forgiving by nature, but I would go as far to say that even now, the comments made during my time there have lingered, causing undue anxiety when pursuing new job opportunities and bad feelings about myself.
I am perfectly capable, but I have dyslexia and slow processing, which makes working any job anxiety provoking for me enough on its own. The anxiety i had about the owner criticising what felt like everything and offering no encouragement whatsoever brought me to tears after my trial shift. I just worry that other people might encounter similar experiences as i did and it would knock their confidence just the same, perhaps worse even if they were in a very bad place. While I cannot speak for everyone's experience, I wanted to offer a word of caution for those considering employment here. Additionally, I hope my feedback serves as a gentle reminder to the owner to reconsider how they treat their employees (people may lack experience in making crepes, but most certainly make up for it in enthusiasm and willingness to learn). It's essential for workplaces to foster environments where all individuals feel respected and supported.
I am very surprised at this score of 4.8 The crepes are fine and nothing more, we ordered crepe Suzette, it came with way too much liqueur and no sauce at all, and a sawory crepe with everything inside, the egg was overcooked. And besides, cold coffee was spilled on me and the owner didn't bat an eyelid. They didn't come to help clean (we did the cleaning) and they didn't bring new coffee. We had a very unpleasant experience at this place.
I would like to emphsise that the young waitress did an excellent job by taking a non standard order and checking with me if it was delivered correctly.
On the other hand, the owner clearly saw that I spilled the coffee and offered no help at all.
The chai was pretty good, but my gallete tasted a bit soapy. Unless buckwheat can taste soapy?? The vegan filling was delicious though. Odd experience as Andrew (?) the owner was training a young woman (Scarlett) and wasn't very nice to her such that it made me uncomfortable. Kept second guessing her and micromanaging. I also asked for the Wi-Fi to work a bit from my phone and didn't get it. A tradesman also came in and demanded payment and the poor owner had to say please don't start an argument in the cafe. Just felt generally unprofessional, but maybe they were all just having a bad day.
Great food and really lovely staff. The team was very kind in accommodating a big group on pancake day. The staff were going above and beyond and doing amazing!
Gorgeous little French crepe and galette cafe, they're cooked fresh right in front of you so you can chat to the staff and they asked if we wanted particular ingredients or not so very easy to personalise too! So yummy and great value.
I ordered "The Boss" to take away and it was so good, nice gooey egg. Tasty and nourishing. Staff were really helpful. I ordered it ahead of an appointment to have it ready for when I finished. It was ready and waiting promptly, still wonderfully warm. Lovely place that makes lovely food. Would recommend.
