It's disheartening to leave this review for Origins, a place with fantastic food and wonderful staff.
However, my recent experience was marred by the presence of dogs on the seating, which made me uncomfortable due to both personal preference and allergies.
Despite raising my concerns politely, I was told that asking customers to move their dogs might result in negative reviews.
It's saddening and really frustrating that the comfort and safety of customers seem to take a backseat to accommodating pets.
Came on my own waiting for my mam and dad. My mam rang me to order she wanted a bacon sandwich a staff member said 'We don't sell sandwiches' another thing she said 'Are you sure you have to right place'What a cheek. A snobby woman. My dad had finished hid drink and all of us had finished eating our scone the same staff member who said' Have you got the right place' just cleared it without saying 'Have you finished?' she answered back 'In restaurants there clear them straight away' No there don't a few minutes later a older women guessing it was the owner gave my mam dagger eyes.
Just popped in for drink, it was busy but we were served some lovely coffee.
Delightful little café only serving scones, cakes and coffee/tea so no fuss ordering. The cakes are all baked very well lovely and moist and very tasty. Well done ladies.
My first visit to Origins coffee shop today. What can I say it was a lovely place to unwind and chat to friends. It is spotlessly clean. Beautifully decorated. Lovely staff. The shop has some beautiful pieces of homeware and hand crafted chocolates also. My mouth was watering. I'm a vegan and I was unable to have a slice of the beautiful cakes on display, initially this was very disappointing, however Darren the owner, surprised me with free, suitable for vegan, raspberry chocolates as a gesture of good will, I've got to say they were beautiful. If you're a vegan or not, please give them a try, you won't regret it. He was very interested in getting my opinion on the chocolates and was pleasantly surprised at my enthusiastic response. We also discussed vegan cakes that would suit both vegan and non vegan palates. Suggestions were made and he was receptive to the idea of stocking vegan products.

Lovely little cafe with elite shop. Only down side was that the toilet was through serving area and opened directly into the coffee making area. Not pleasant. Think it would be better with a small corridor first.
A lovely relaxing atmosphere even with covid restrictions in place. Felt very safe. Staff were very kind, courteous & professional. Coffee & tea & scones, delicious. Will definitely return. My friend & I had not met up since late February. The staff never once showed impatience that we occupied the table for so long. Thankyou so much.
As always clean neat,and tidy. Warm welcome coffee was very good as was my raseberry tart the berries were fresh and slightly tart. Shared my table with a very nice couple...We all agreed 5 stars were reduced to 3...just . Because to interupt your customers in conversation and ask them to pay the bill before they have finished is not done, better to allow them to request the bill when they are ready, is the polite norm. Of course I shall go back!!
