Been sent through the GP for a spinal x-ray via text message from my surgery. Turned up with the options of anytime between 9-4 Mon - Fri.
This is a convenient service if you can't commit to an appointment time.
Car park was full when I arrived. So parking is a struggle.
X ray was super quick. Staff very helpful and made me feel at ease.
I have visited this place on a number of occasions recently due to my wife having surgery on her foot, myself and my wife have only positive comments for all of the staff and the facilities this place has to offer even though it only has a small car park there is ample parking within a very short walking distance.
We did a 60 mile round trip on each occasion and I can honestly say I would drive even further to visit this place if you require any work doing to your feet do not hesitate to visit this centre.
Absolutely useless staff who clearly do not know what they are doing, they send an appointment for a telephone call at 9.30, they then ring at 9.20 and list the appointment as missed, my god can you useless imbeciles not tell the time?
Oh and on blood test results that come back as abnormal, yet you say that there is no further action required, you lot seriously suck, I'm amazed that Charles atha solicitors haven't had you shut down for medical negligence
Easy to park (disabled parking) very clean place. staff very personable. wheelchair accessible, lifts easily accessible, plenty of space, places to sit and shop. 5*
Visited Musculoskeletal clinic today with my spinal Osteoarthritis. I was very pleased with the service I was given. I was seen by a lady named Deborah she was lovely and had a very kind & warming personality. She explained everything perfectly.
Thank you for being a lovely person.
Very good parking took father to get flu and COVID injections staff first class in and out quickly spot on
Been trying to get a appointment for weeks and can never get one ????
WARNING - FAO: DISABLED/BLUE BADGE HOLDERS.
As of 1 April 2022, Hartlepool Borough Council (HBC) are charging for disabled blue badge parking at the One Life Centre.
The One Life Centre is part of Hartlepool and North Tees NHS Foundation Trust and is considered an extension of the teaching hospitals. This is evidenced be the fact they have student radiologists in the X-Ray department and big signs up in multiple clinics stating 'this is a teaching hospital and you may be seen be a student.'
The government announced in December 2019 that it was legislating its manifesto pledge for free blue badge parking at ALL NHS Trust sites in England from April 2020. Due to Covid-19, this was delayed until April 2021, though some more reasonable, organised and competent Trusts like South Tees (James Cook and Redcar) implemented the free parking at the original date.
As of April 2022, HBC have reintroduced these charges. There's no grace period and it's now £2 for two hours, minimum.
I had to park in the town centre (three hours free with a ticket from the machine displayed) and walk over to the OLC, and I'm disabled. I don't carry cash with me and even if there was an option to pay by card, they're not supposed to be allowed to collect on parking.
In relation to the OLC, I only ever went there for sexual health services, and they've now moved to the Fens.
I visited the OLC the other day and found the radiographers very rude, unprofessional and unhelpful.
I have now left three voicemails for the Enforcement Team, who are conveniently in meetings no matter when I call. No reply from HBC. Will be writing to our MP, the Department of Health and Social Care and the Department for Transport who legislated the free parking, which is mandatory at all NHS Trust sites in England.
UPDATE: 20.06.22:
The Enforcement Team at Hartlepool Borough Council claim that it's their car park and they can collect on it as it's private. I beg to differ. NTH NHS Foundation Trust car parks are run privately by Parking Eye and they're subject to the same legal requirement to provide free blue badge parking.
Have an appointment with HBC in mid July.
UPDATE: 30.07.22:
HBC say the buildings are privately owned and that the NHS services simply rent the spaces, so the free parking doesn't apply to them.
