Horrible experience. No such thing as first come first serve. No customer service skills whatsoever. The large on set woman with unwashed grey hair needs to sort her attitude out. Smirking and answering back and just being nasty in general.
Only had half my prescription and expected to pay twice if and when the other half turns up.
I'd been phoning multiple times for the last 3 days to check if they had my prescription to save a wasted journey - the phone just rings unanswered at any time of the day, even if you hold on until the point of it being awkward and f they were to actually answer.
Luckily when I visited they did have my prescription and I was given it quickly.
Incidentally I phoned whilst outside and then once in the chemist to see what would happen - all 3 staff just ignored it even though there was only me and one other customer in there and they could have broken off to take the call.
The red haired man was really friendly but so much for confidentiality as I was asked for my date of birth and my address was read out.
I've been coming to this chemist most of my life and it's always been good in the past, please take on board this feedback to improve.
Absolutely shocking at the moment. Called in after work today to pick a prescription up that was ordered the week BEFORE Christmas. Went in on the day after Boxing Day to be told it was due in that afternoon. I agreed to come back at a later date.
Today, after waiting almost an hour (15 separate people queuing up) that the wrong vials had been ordered.
There were three members of staff serving on and the phone was ringing almost the whole time I was in the pharmacy.
This is not the first time this has happened. Yes, the pharmacist did apologise, but after all that time.....
Completely missed 5 of the 9 professional standards set for Pharmacy's.
Been buying Hydrocortisone Ointment for 25 years, all of a sudden I come across the Rowlands cashier who tells me I'm wrong and you cant buy it and refuses to serve me.
1% Hydrocortisone Ointment is an OTC or POM and despite asking her to check, she still refused.
Went to Olive pharmacy who sold me what I needed and confirmed it is OTC and definitely not POM.
I asked to purchase a £4 OTC (P) product and was told to get a prescription which would then cost me £9+
Not great is it
Absolutely shocking shocking service from this chemist. Me and 1 other in the chemist and it took 20 minutes to get served. Meanwhile there's 4/5 people around the back just chatting away totally ignoring customers blatantly! DO NOT use this chemist if you have anything else to do in your day. Then when finally get served am told they don't have the medication come back Monday. No thanks il take my business and cash elsewhere.
Awful service overall. Often don't have frequently used prescription items in and they make mistakes with regularly ordered prescription items. They also fail to think in a logical manner, i.e. if they are unable to get the medication you have been prescribed from suppliers but have their own brand they either don't bother or haven't considered contacting the surgery to get permission to change the medication to their own brand if it is exactly the same ingredients. Poor customer service overall which shows little or no consideration for people's needs. This became evident during the Covid problems where patients trying to collect meds had to stand and queue outside often in pouring rain for anything up to 45 mins. Surely they could have put some seats outside the door for elderly people or those with disabilities etc.?
This pharmacy used to be really good, however recently it’s gone really downhill. I told them I had 6 items to collect and they only gave me 2 items, politely explained that there were 4 more items, got an eye roll, a big sigh, then spent ten minutes getting the other items. Customer service has really declined here sadly. Like many others have now changed pharmacy.
Really bad service. Prescriptions rarely ready on time and also get lost
Called in today and ten people in the queue in front of me most of whom have been waiting over an hour. Completely unacceptable.Rowlands need to look at the staffing here urgently as it is harming your reputation.
