We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Radnor Barn. We spent two nights here and all i can say is it was a lovely, clean and friendly place to stay ! Lynne was an amazing host who engaged with her guests and advised the best places to eat in the town. We went to visit other places in Wales and whenever we bumped in to her in passing she asked about our day. We got to meet her beautiful dog who is just as friendly ! The rooms were of expected size and the Ensuite adjacent to the room was modern and again very clean. I would absolutley recommend this place ! we had a lovely view of the garden, it was peaceful and Lynne makes a lovely breakfast ! will book again !
I have had the pleasure of staying at The Old Radnor Barn on 3 occasions whilst working in Brecon and each time has been flawless. The hosts go out of the way to welcome you and do anything to help. The barn is beautiful as are the gardens and the rooms.this place is so peaceful set in the lovely village of Talgarth and a pleasure to stay there. My room is the cosiest ever with a beautiful comfortable bed letting me relax and have the best nights sleep ever. Breakfast was wonderful each morning and truely delicious. Can’t wait too stay again- Thankyou so much for welcoming me back each time to your lovely Barn.xxx thankyou Kate xxx
We have just stayed at the old Radnor barn and was blown away by the hospitality, the warm welcome and the beautiful room. Definitely suggest paying to use the hot tub. ||||Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. All local produce and I’m guessing home grown cherry tomatoes. ||||Beautiful location in the centre of the village walking distance to the shops and a lovely local pub. ||||10 out of 10 for the old Radnor barn. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay
We (3 friends) stayed for 5 nights at this lovely B&B. Lynn and Steve are wonderful hosts who were very helpful and accommodating. The vegetarian breakfast (which Lynn adapted to our taste) was the perfect way to start the day. The room was comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom. The garden and hot tub were perfect for some R&R after activity filled days. Talgarth turned out to be a great place to stay with horse riding at Tregoyd just down the road and Boating at Langorse lake around the corner as well as a Co-op just behind the B&B). The High Street in Brecon with good food options (Zeera and Chang Thai) was a convenient 15 minutes away. ||||We would recommend this charming B&B for those looking for a getaway.
Absolutely fantastic stay. The room was very clean, dog friendly. Lynn and her husband were exceptional hosts, very welcoming and non intrusive. The garden was peaceful and the stay very relaxing. The breakfast had a ‘wow’ factor and was readily made as per guest request.
Unsafe, luxury suite was dangerous very low ceilings my partner kept banging his head, ensuite was across the hall way,, bedside lights didn't work WiFi didn't work power shower didn't have power, bed was totally uncomfortable. Very noisy room you could hear everyone in the hotel.Very poor lighting outside dangerous uneven paths. Birthday weekend totally wrecked. We booked for 2 nights but left after 1 night without breakfast and hot tub. Owner was very high rate even taking photos of us leaving. This is the first negative review I've left but my comments are fully justified AVOID
Thank you again Steve and Lynne for a wonderful stay, feeding us and making us feel so welcome and comfortable. The hot tub was a joy after a day after completing the Big Black Mountain challenge -soaking away the aches watching the kites circling above - Just bliss -I counted 25 at one point - awesome! no need to take a trip the the kite feeding stations when it’s here on the doorstep . We slept and ate so well - thank you so much!
Booked 4 nights last minute and couldn't be more pleased Lynne and Steve have been amazing hosts and gave us some good suggestions for what to do in the surrounding area. Would recommend getting the breakfast as cooked perfectly they even have a very freindly dog called Alfie and will be a shame not many more people will get the opportunity to stay here
