I’m not really one for leaving reviews specially critical ones, but I couldn’t ignore this. Bought 2 portions of cod & chips yesterday from here and paid over £10 per portion. Must be the worst fish & chips I have had (and I’m 73!). I was quite hungry and like fish & chips but I and my wife had to throw them away after a few mouthfuls. The fish was very poor quality in taste and texture. Batter was crisp on outside but not cooked on the inside. There was far too much oil which had its own taste! The chips were not nice (cooked earlier and warmed up?). I know fish & chip chops are in difficult times but considering cost to customer this was not acceptable!
Worst fish and chips we’ve ever had. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Couldn’t eat it. Batter was claggy. Fish tasteless. Even the gerkins tasted weird. £20.50 for two cod? And chips. Never again.
EDIT: to the people actually rating this place 3-5 star blatantly have no idea what good quality food is LOL.
9/10 times I’ve had food from here it’s been grease filled and disgusting. Should write a separate review on the chips alone… they’re by far the worst chip shop chips in the whole county. You can easily tell that they use old rancid potatoes, either that or they use the old chips from the day before… I’m not sure as I’m no food expert but all I can say is that I would 100% not recommend. To make ends worse it’s way over priced, especially because the food that it provided.
Came here with some friends and the service here is absolutely perfect. The service is gorgeous they let us off buby about 2 pounds definitely reccomend coming here
Very disappointed fish and chips extremely poor quality .Fish dry and tasteless and chips full of bits and obviously reheated.Wont go there again . Complete waste of money.
Food is good enough as it is 'fast food' place, however it could be a bit better. Fish is nice and not fatty. Chips are one of the best I had.
