Great well established chippy right in the heart of the town . The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The wait was a while perhaps 10-15 mins but all food cooked fresh , but not so good of your in a hurry.parking can be an issue but there is parking opposite on the co op. Nice chippy fix , prices average for chips by the sea.
This is our go to restaurant when we visit Mablethorpe. We always eat in as it's nice and cosy and the staff are very nice and friendly and make you welcome. It is all table service if you eat in, so this is nice.
There is a toilet for eat in customers.
A few good deals on the menu and a good choice on the kids menu too and good portion sizes.
The food is great. Overall it's a great place and would highly recommend it.
One of the better fish and chips around, come here often and always hot quality food. Portions could be bigger as with most places but overall top ????
Frequently awful chips. You would think that the chips would be cooked fresh while you wait for fish but no. It is not just once or twice but most times that the chips seem to be in the range far too long. The picture tells it all and to top it all the pies are just microwaved.
Out with my Elderly parents popped in here for a spot of lunch....Probably the worst chippy ive eaten at !!! ....In fact no its the worst chippy ive eaten at !!!!
Chips were vile hard n crispy and the fish 80% of it had this brown tinge to it .....Disgusting !!!!
And at £9.99 a pop shame on you !!!
Last year we had lovely fish and chips. This year we went and they were burnt and the fish was dry and very fish(usually a sign that fish is not fresh) sorry won’t be back and can’t recommend.
We had to wait for them to cook our food also so no excuse for it being burnt. £25 thrown in the bin
We used to come here regularly - good portion sizes for good prices. We went tonight though and I wasn't surprised when we saw prices had been put up, but I was shocked when I saw how drastically they've reduced the portion sizes. A £3.20 large portion wasn't enough to fill up myself and my 5yr old goddaughter. We went and purchased a £2.20 regular portion from Salty's which turned out to be the same size as the large from Ocean. Won't be returning here.
Ocean chip shop in mablethorpe is one of the best seaside chippies to go to. Chips were exactly what you would and should expect from a traditional seaside chip shop. The staff which i assume were mother and son were very welcoming, friendly, up for a laugh and both were very interactive with our children. I would highly recommend this chip shop over the likes of others actually based on the seafront, no comparison what so ever, will definitely be going again.
