Lovely place for a dog walk with plenty of options for a long or short walk. Always litter free and and the paths are well maintained around the edges of the Recreation Ground through the trees, which is lovely on a hot sunny day.
Free parking here is super handy as we like a long walk and the community orchard is lovely for a little sit down or even a picnic in summer.
With the usual playground equipment for kids, tennis courts, football pitch and the community centre all right there it is a welcome addition to the north Cambridge villages, just a short walk away from Histon and Cottenham.
We will be visiting often over the summer months.
We had amazing time, mixture of cool climbing frames, fun hills that little learn how balance and even picnic benches even fancy having lunch there. Nearby carpark that is free next oakington pavilion and playground you see playground nearby but just walk to.
Plenty of equipment for children. Just next to the community hall. You can park your car there.
Nice playground with a zip line and parking.
But of a shame that our dog can't run on the recreation ground, but perhaps other people don't clean up after their dogs.
Scene of Saturday car boot sale, which appears to be slowly dying a death. Whilst still offering reasonable number of sellers they are now largely bric a brac. No longer has regular meat man, egg man, nor decent veg man. Like many car boots, appears to be in terminal decline. Pity!
Visiting family and took the kids here today. Nice and clean, not too busy even after schools have finished.
My girls made some friends and had a great time ????
Nice place. Cemetery next door. Mum passed away nearly two years ago. She rests in peace there. That's where I went. Nice village.
The rec appears to be clean and recently redone and has a nice little playground too.
