Having to queue is well worth it, they’re the best fish & chips, staff are always polite & friendly - if you're visiting or passing through Oakenshaw, Oakenshaw Fisheries are well worth a visit ????????????????????
Just stumbled across this place on my way over from Manchester. Absolutely brilliant value for money. 6.50 for a big portion of cod and chips that tasted bang on and they let you put your own salt and vinegar on. Fully recommend
Good quality fish and chips in a setting that Yorkshire and Lancashire have seen since the 1950's. The fish cooked well, was moist and flakey, the batter was crispy with none of the slime inside that you get outside of the two counties. The chips tasted like those you remember as a child, probably cooked in dripping, not some nasty modern oil/fat substitute. In all a wonderful shop and a wonderful meal.

Best fish and chip ship around. Portion sizes are perfect and the quality and taste of the fish and chips are just amazing, proper traditional fish and chips. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent chip shop with friendly staff
We live very locally to this fish and chip shop and I must say it is the best there is in this area. The fish and chips are beautiful and what’s more the staff are so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this as a perfect place for fish and chips within the wike and Low moor area.
