Ordered the Christmas Dinner here today, honestly wasn't great. The box was mostly gammon and one tiny piece of turkey, the potatoes were like rocks, the Yorkshire pudding you get is also a rock and the gravy wasn't as nice as usual, not as thick and tasty. Quite a letdown for the price of £10. Usually great tasty food.
My first lamb dinner on a Friday and definitely not my last.
Ordered over beforehand and picked up on time. Super fresh, super tasty and filled me up.
I'd recommend no mint sauce personally as I thought it was a bit too much but a very tasty lunch.
Popped in before going to a meeting as I was absolutely starving... I only got a bacon and sausage on toast (the Cumberland ring had sold out) due to time constraints but that was enough! Lunch was provided by my host but I had to decline as the butty really saw me through. For such a low price they really filled it with with proper thick bacon and proper sausages.
There's a reason the queues go out the door and they have to make so many telephone orders.
I'll be going back there next time I'm in Birkenhead (even if I have to make a detour...).
Mostly great food, however when they do the Friday Lamb Dinner's The Lamb is very dry and you get some hard bits and the Roast Potatoes are very hard.
Used to.love it here but gone down bigtime orderd 3 christmas soups lady who served me was so rude no manners and the soup was a big letdown there were loads of bones in the soup which really put me off
Food is really good. Service is really slow. If you fancy standing in the queue for 20 minutes then you will be rewarded.
