This fantastic fish and chip has recently had a refurb.
Tonight we went for the first time since it has re-opened and we weren't disappointed.
We had rock fish, scampi, chips and curry sauce. Not only was it delicious but it was under £15 too
It was Covid safe, clean and everybody was kept at a distance.
We will definitely get fish and chips from there again.
They are never open on the hours they say they are. Rude staff, i asked for fish and chips and a chicken burger and offered to pay for it. I was being ignored even though they were not busy. I ask how long it will take. They say 5 minutes. I go and come back and its still not ready. I eventually get my food and its horrible, vile. The fish batter is dry and somehow full of grease. The chips are soggy and wet and full of oil. The chicken burger is dry. Avoid this place like the plague. Go for the fish and chip shop at the top of the hill or a kebab/chicken shop that’s close. No suprise they are closed for 2-3 months now.
Extremely disappointed, shop looks clean, staff friendly.
Chips were a MIXED bag.
STALE ones at bottom, smelt/tasted of stale oil, blantly old chips tasted disgusting! ???? Took photo's.
Waited 10mins for what we thought were a WHOLE large bag of FRESH chips. Cost £3.50!
Will NEVER go back, lost our custom!
Absolutely fabulous fish and chips! Fresh out of the fryer, crispy chips, hot and delicious! Super friendly guys in there too.

I usually enjoy this place. It's quite nice and affordable even if the quality of the chips is uneven. However, this weekend they upped their prices due to the Wireless festival, even for locals! Not only is that surely illegal but it's also a kick in the teeth of local customers. Loyalty goes both ways.
This chippy is the best around. The fish tastes fresh and the chips are SO good, portions are huge too. The guys that run this place are so friendly and welcoming, it brightens up my day to come in here and pick up some dinner. Please keep doing what you’re doing! ????
I have eaten the take away fish and chips from here before and it was great. However this time I ordered two portions of haddock and chips and was so disappointed. The fish was a small portion and the chips were not good at all. I would have given one star but gave credit for past meals. Come on guys up your game a bit!
We used to go to this chippy every week. We went back tonight and the chips were undercooked and the fish was chewy. Really disappointing as it used to be good. Seems to be focusing more on kebabs now.
