This is a regular place for me to get gulab Jamun. This is one of the better place in London to get gulab Jamun. Try their dark gulab jamun for sure.
Great sweets! Very nice, not cheap but okay for price (box pictured was £5.70) and just near tube station.
They might good for Bakery items but sweets have no taste. I bought mix sweets but taste was horrible. I never tasted Asian sweet like this and all sweets taste similar. Their price also very high, Sainsbury sells better sweet than them. If they don’t improve quality they will not survive I am sure.
This place can only be described as horrible. Firstly, certain staff members (in my case two older Pakistani men were on shift) misrepresent the already audacious prices, adding arbitrary charges to the bill for no valid reason (my box was 10 grams over, apparently justifying an extra 1 £??). Secondly, there was a whole plate of sweets that was literally covered in mold! And it was still for sale! That just shows you how much they value cleanliness and the health risks posed to customers. I only discovered the moldy plate after my purchase. They would not refund my money as I didn't want my sweets anymore...31£ thrown in the trash.
Afterwards, I've confirmed with my relatives and friends who had all had bad experiences, saying their sweets might look appetising, but are dried out and devoid of the handmade flavour you would expect for that price. Rasgalla was compared to dry cardboard...do yourself a favour and stay away from Nirala if you value your health at all! I'm inclined to report the mold incident to the food inspection authority.
Nirala Now becomes worsted.
I am regular customer of Nirala but the problem is behaviour of staff is really very bad.
After 3months I bought last Thursday Mixed Sweets and Dhoi big one
That both was very disgusting even my family can’t eat little bit of sweets or Dhoi.
And bed smell like it’s became expired

The stars are for cleanes, close to tube St and professional staff. True they have good selection of products, however not my taste, I've had better. Samosa & the veggie puffs very oily and when you ask for Samosa, veggie puff ....you only get only that. You need to ask for sauce, even if you ask for sauce you get a bit of tamarind sauce.... You can have a test see if you like it, me no more....
Visited the store on the morning of 28.02.22 to purchase a cake for my daughters birthday. On walking in the place was extremely clean and felt very welcoming. The attendant, a guy, was very professional, answered all my questions and in the long run helped me to make a good choice. Due to his mannerism and charm I also ended up buying some biscuits which tasted great. The cake was exceptional, mouth watering and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. The prices were also very affordable. WELL DONE NIRALA .... I forgot, we even got a complimentary birthday card. What more could one ask for?
