Nikkis Coffee Shop is located in the Centre of Stonehaven and is a wee place at a corner house. I found their menu rather extensive for the size of the café. They have savory dishes, many breakfast and lunch options and soups of the day. They offer free Wi-Fi also.
The food was delicious and the prices were average and okay. We were welcomed in a friendly way when taking a seat; didn't take the waitress long to provide us with a menu but the food preparation took some time since she seemed to be alone in the café having to serve every customer at once.
The place is small, basic, very clean and modern but at the same time not very cosy. You wouldn't want to spend too much time there and a sign reminds you that you're not supposed to stay more than 1 hour which is kind of irritating. Overall I can recommend the food but it's not a place 'to come home to'.
We love this little coffee shop situated on the corner of Market Square. The coffee is excellent and there is a really good variety of meals and snack choices on the menu. The Coronation Chicken sandwiches are our favorite. Service is friendly and quick and Nikki bakes her own cakes with a different yummy selection every day. Highly recommended but get there early as they close promptly at 4pm.
A wonderful Cafe with very friendly staff and very flavourful food. I had the cream of tomato soup and a sandwich, my wife enjoyed a bowl of mixed vegetable soup.
The coffee tasted great too!
I have been in this cafe a number of times, it has a good menu and the prices are fair, the seats are not hugely comfortable indeed the place feels rather basic, I know that they have had struggles as a result of flooding in the past hence I have always tried to support them, shop local and all that. On my most recent visit I was not hugely impressed with one member of staff, she slammed down our food plates and didn't look hugely happy that we were enjoying a catch up. We then noticed a "one hour seating limit" sign. Is this why the seats are so uncomfortable, that actually they don't really want you to stay?! Will probably not rush back to "Nikki's" - Could understand this signage during the pandemic, though we are post pandemic now. We bought a number of items, it was not as though we sat with one coffee the whole time we were there! It was not as though they were turning folk away. Might try the other new cafe next time I am in Stonehaven, looks much more friendly and much more comfortable.
Great little cafe. Very friendly, accomodating and attentive staff. Mia was particularly helpful and very professional. Good range of choices on the menu.
Very well priced. Good coffee & nice cake. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean cafe.
Great coffee shop very friendly with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Just up from market square with great sandwiches and choice of drinks. The scones and cakes looked great but did not try them this time
Decent cafe with ok coffee and (usually) nice cakes. Beware, they go quickly!
Good service in the main. Difficult access to toilets if you are in any way mobility-challenged.
