Paid £25, for omelette and full English breakfast with two lattes.
Full English consisted of just 1 pale anemic looking sausage, very runny egg some bacon, and beans with slice of toast, very bland and boring, the sausage was thoroughly unappetising. The omelette was very average, with little flavour. The latte coffees didn't taste right, very bitter taste, like something out of a cheap coffee machine.
Only positive experience is that the food was served quickly. Will not be returning,
Went in over weekend. It was not very busy and four staff were serving. So I was surprised it took a good 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. We were refused what we ordered as not strictly on menu. We asked for a sandwich rather than a chibatta. It would of been easy to do as everything made to order. When we asked if we could have another 5 minutes to decide the waiter said "well you have lost your place then"
Of course we expected him to go serve someone else then come back but his attitude was applauling.
With that and the extortionate prices they charge we left.
Will never go back and would no recommend unless you want expensive food and rude service.
Called in initially just for a drink but seen the home made soup on the board so tried it,they didn’t have any of the beetroot soup left so opted for tomato and pepper.
The food was lovely atmosphere great and busy.
Definitely recommend popping in if your on the high street and thanks you it was mint ????????
Excellent choice of dishes and drinks. Recommend the bubble and squeak. Very friendly staff and efficient service.
Decided to visit here after checking the menu in the window. Ordered a toasted teacake and a frothy hot chocolate, the toasted teacake was very nice, plenty of butter on it. My only complaint would be the frothy hot chocolate was barely over three quarters of a cup full, which for £3 is a bit disappointing.
Three of us had the ciabatta, they were served with coleslaw and a salad all of which were delicious. Great coffee and probably the best hot chocolate I've had in a long time
Great fresh food.
Fast service.
Pleasant staff.
Would definitely recommend ????
The menu stated they were newly opened and therefore it had a limited choice. The choices were very minimal, we decided to stay to show support to the new business, however we saw a number of people look at the menu and leave.
The positives were the staff were friendly and the decor was nice. The negative for us was the price. We paid £28 for two people to have a drink and an English breakfast. The English breakfast consisted of one sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, fried egg, toast, and beans, which cost £9 each. We just felt some mushrooms or a fried tomato should have been included in this price.
Just to note for some people the venue is not wheelchair friendly, which the business can't do much about, but its worth noting if you're visiting.
Overall its a nice venue and we wish them well with the new venture, but maybe rethink the menu or prices.
