I was recommended to Newbury transmissions by my normal garage. They were very professional and sympathetic whilst booking me to do investigations which I was seen quickly.
They are over an hour away from where I live and they were able to fix the problem that same day after they had done the diagnostics. Dave and he’s team where so helpful and efficient.
I would highly recommend Newbury transmissions , they went above and beyond.
I have had issues with my car for about 6 months and had taken it to multiple garages with none of them able to fix the issue and I was left with multiple big bills.
I was recommended Newbury Transmissions which is over a 2 hour drive for me but thought it would be worth a go.
As soon as I arrived I was given a warm welcome, they then diagnosed the car and told me what needed doing and explained in detail as to why aswell as the total cost and time it would take.
Within 2 days I received my car and it drives immaculately! To have the car diagnosed and fixed within 48 hours was incredible, I could not of asked for a better service. I 100% recommend them and will use them for any future work. Thank you so much!
I was referred here from my usual garage due to the detail of repairs required. The gearbox and clutch were repaired in amazing time and they communicated with the warranty company for me. I managed to get all the repairs and car back on the road in a few days. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough!
Before going to Newbury Transmissions- I had spent just over £2k on misdiagnosis of a grinding noise on my Land Rover Discovery 4 - but in a short visit the guys found the exact fault and repaired to a high standard. Pleased with the work and communication.
I had to call out the AA ON SATURDAY coming back from Basingstoke. They diagnosed the problem; a burnt out clutch. I contacted my local garage first thing Monday morning, who then recommended Newbury Transmissions. They arranged for STA to collect it on Monday afternoon and replaced it late on Wednesday. Have been coming to this garage for years and couldn’t recommend it enough. Extremely knowledgeable staff with great communication regarding my cars work. You won’t find a better garage.
The garage charged me 90 pounds within 20 minutes I left the car for diagnostics. The options to get the car repaired was out of mind, almost 2 weeks and the cost was not that I could imagine. Don't dare to call them gearbox specialist. First and last.
Excellent team here. Replaced my faulty transmission box and fix a few other things too. I haven’t had the issues return even though I’ve had it checked a year later to make sure it’s all working. Needn’t have worried. First class job.
