Excellent venue when attending events at the showground. Nice staff which were helpful and polite. Food was tasty and catered for Gluten Free. Room a little shabby, nothing that a lick of paint and a deep clean wouldn't sort. Would be happy to stay again as the location and price are good.

Firstly apologies to Owen for length of time to do review. First class stay here, nice room, a bit small but lovely and clean and warm. Nothing was to much trouble for Owen, lovely breakfast and evening meal with good music playing whilst being cooked. Also thanks to Captain Morgan.
A review is in the eye of the beholder of course. Not my cup of tea but it may be yours.|Entrance to the Lodge is through a livestock market, specialising in sheep breeds, naturally. The room was wholly utilitarian, nothing decorative or stylish evident. The bedding was fresh and clean. Some coat hooks on doors would have been helpful, as would a bit more water pressure for the shower. Breakfast was good quality and freshly cooked.|A curious character of a man runs the place, large in stature and often verging on offensive banter. A Maitre'd, certainly not. If you're looking for a Welsh Agricultural version of Fawlty Towers, look no further, you're in for a treat, especially if you can view everything through an ironic lens. Unfortunately, on the day, I was not.|'Two choices for breakfast. You have it or you don't!'|I'm chuckling now, so maybe I was just having an off day.

Expected double bed but it was bunk beds , the lower bunk you could only lie down in . Tiny television . Bar shut at 9.30 . Not a good experience in any way , don't go there

Booked a table for Sunday Lunch on 10th September, only to be met at the front door. To be told no Lunch was being served today. 1st person disappeared only for someone else to come out. And say I tried to call people who had booked in the meantime another family of 4 arrived . Who again had not been contacted. Alas no Sunday Lunch this week. Poor show.
