Fresh fish and the chips are great when they are freshly cooked, sadly though we go at 5 pm when it opens and the chips are re heated leftovers from the lunchtime, we now go elsewhere.
We went in one evening, food was cooked fresh, we had fish and sausages with chips ???? best we've had, will definitely go back soon ????
Awful food. Just got pie n chips n curry sauce.
The pie was microwaved so pastry was like rubber, chips tasted horrible really earthy and the curry sauce was really bland. Never again.
We found this hidden gem by chance on a Sunday night when nothing else was open. Had a really lovely take away. .fresh cooked to order cod and large chips. We went back again on the following Wednesday ( staying at the Travel Lodge for work)....ordered 2 jumbo cod and 1 large chips. The jumbo cod consisted of 2 pieces each of the regular size cod and the large chips were 2 heaped dishes of fresh real potato chips. All for £12.50....we are hoping to move to the area soon and this will definitely be our chosen fish and chip takeaway.
Consistently great fish and chips. Never had F&C outside the South West but have had plenty within that area and these are the best. Just a small place serving take away but everything is fresh and freshly cooked. Nice happy people too. Family operation I guess. Give it a try????
The best chip shop in Wellington by far. Although we don't have fish and chips often when we do we always come here. We drive past 3 other chip shops so that speaks for itself. Food is always cooked to order so it's nice and hot when you get it home. Batter is light. Chips are amazing, look and taste like homemade. Pea fritters to die for. Always recommend Neptune's to everyone
Alr guys just thought I would praise this yung gdem named joe Robinson who’s absolutely goated at the deep fryer, this is what he does, he performs in big orders and he’s never missed a shift from what I’ve heard, my fish cooked snazzily, even tried rizzing me up by romantically winking at me now and then (he must be a magnet to all the ladies who visit????) would go again make him the ceo
Don't take any notice of the idiots who leave drunken bad comments. This is without doubt the best fish and chips in Wellington.
