Staff were friendly enough, shame about the food. Stopped by with a mate and had a kebab, whilst my mate had battered sausage and chips. The kebab was cold and dry, and the pitta bread was so stale it was like eating a biscuit. My friends chips seemed okay but tasted very tangy. The oil in the bottom of the box was a strange red colour. Batter on the sausage was hard and like cardboard. Waste of £30 and I’m writing this on the toilet, where I’ve spent the majority of the evening.
Worse chips I have ever had. Tasteless , more scraps than chips and COLD !!!!
Ordered 3 x large pizzas and opted for the create our own option.
These pizza were amazing. Loads of topping, cooked to perfection and tested beautiful. Would highly recommend for a great pizza takaway. Olalso have had the chicken kebab and that was also fab. They offered to cook to my preference, great service.
We came for Fish and Chips and a Kebab, it was very good. Freshly cooked, while you wait, good portion sizes and very reasonable prices. It was very busy when I visited, everyone seemed to be a regular customer, a good sign. Recommended

Probably some of the worse chips we’ve ever had.
We looked at the reviews and chose to buy fish and chips as reviews said ‘best ever’; well either they’ve got the wrong shop or it’s changed hands, the chips were pale and chewy with no flavour, as if they were lightly cooked then left in the warmer for hours or were frozen. The vinegar was just like coloured water too. On the other hand, the fish was nice, but we definitely would not go there again.. £9 per person of wasted money????
We had a rainy first evening camping in Baconsthorpe, so we decided to grab some pizzas for tea.
We drove into Holt and spotted Nelson Fries 4 U. It's a tiny shop, and looked super clean as we walked in. The staff were really friendly. We ordered four large pizzas and they were delicious! This is now our go-to takeaway if we have another evening where it's too wet to cook outside.
Tonight all our regular chippys had either people queued up the street, or a one hour wait, so we thought we’d give this tiny place a go. What a hidden little gem this place is, we got served straight away and everything was cooked fresh, which is always nice to have. The chips were just as we like them, crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle, and very few of those nasty small sharp bits. The fish was also nicely cooked, had I known they did kebabs, I would have tried one of those, so it will have to be next time I’m afraid. I’ve heard the southern fried chicken is something to try, unfortunately someone had eaten it all tonight.
I look forward to our next visit to holt, this is our new place for takeaway.
Not a great experience. Chips were OK. Pizza was pretty bad and barely warm despite picking up 10 mins after ordering.
