The guys running the place are excellent at what they do. As a holiday maker in Skye, I expected to lose a few days getting repairs done. They squeezed me in on the day despite a busy schedule and the costs for a relatively remote garage were more than fair.
I have no hesitation in recommending Murchison’s.
Excellent garage, run by Donnie & his team. Very likeable & friendly team, who are both skilled & hardworking. Got me fixed up & back on the road again, when no one else in the entire area were able to. Ferried me back & forth to Skye too, very grateful to Donnie & his team.
If you're stuck anywhere near here, these guys are who will help you. Make sure to tip them, as they'll charge you much less than anyone else in the area & go out of their way to help.

We hit mirrors with another motorhome on our way to Skye. Donnie saved the day. He had the mirrors lying around and got us on the road within minutes, charging a very modest amount for his work and materials.
Great garage! Had an issue with my gears while travelling around Skye.. They had every opportunity to make a lot of money but instead fixed the issue in moments and got us on our way... Very impressed!

My car was broken down middle of nowhere (engine failure) and I desperately called local services and Murchinson’s offered me help despite that everyone is busy just before Christmas. He wasn’t just offered help he even done it out of hours and my car got fixed the very next day! Excellent customer service! Really good price and service! I live in the area so, if anything will happen again I definitely will go there again! Thank you again i am really grateful! ❤️
Quick service, reliable, and very friendly! We were having some car trouble after visiting the Isle of Skye, but Murchison's Garage had it fixed in an hour! They told us exactly what was wrong, how they fixed it, and charged a fair price! It's also just by the small town so you have nice scenery, shops and cafes to visit while waiting!
Donny is an honest man, like a lot of people in the area I was on holiday, I broke down before a 9 hour journey.
He seems very clued up and knowledgeable at his trade.
I was told straight up answers; experienced top quality service and at a very reasonable rate.
He also kept me up to date the whole way through, for added piece of mind.
For anyone without breakdown cover, I would recommend calling Donny up as he can tow you; and if he can fit you in then I couldn't imagine anyone being better to sort your car in Kyle.
