The Mac cheese is macaroni with a little cheese on the top, bland not mixed through properly. The starches in the curry were all solid, a couple of sweet potato wedges made for a tiny portion. The chickpea flatbreads have a weird and unseasoned taste. The (assumed supermarket) brown rice was over cooked. Almost tastes like old frozen rice was heated up. It cost £30 for two, where is all this money going(?) Not on an experienced cook.
I commend the attempt at eco friendly packaging. It doesn't work with a wet curry though, which had spilled out all over the poor Uber Driver.
I have never left a bad review like this about food in my entire 30 years of existence, and feel so bad that I even have to write this. Shockingly let down and very hungry.
Absolutely delicious scrumdidliumptious brownies. My mouth is happy and my tummy is happier. Thank you Mungo's Kitchen. Can't recommend enough!
We recently used Mungos Kitchen whilst visiting family in the area and even though we do not all eat a solely plant based diet we all loved it! We had a lot of different dishes from the menu between us but my highlights were the Mac and cheese and the jerk plantain curry (and my little girl loved the very berry smoothie). Really good size portions so worked out really good value for money. Here’s hoping they open a branch in Cornwall soon!
Was really happy to get a new vegan takeaway, and the fact everything is gluten free is a massive bonus. Love love the food - the chickpea flatbreads are genius and the Jerk Plantain curry is my current favourite dish, desserts are brilliant too.
Well I am not Vegan or Vegetarian, but thinking more about the impact of what I eat, I decided to give this a go after a recommendation. Was not disappointed, the food is so tasty. Garlic Chickpea Flatbread and Buddha Bowl both delicious. Food travels well too, good packaging which is important with deliveries - great stuff :-)
Really nice guy, great food and service, delivered to your door. Good size portions and most important ALL organic and generally no fried 'fast food' just good meals. Lots of choice with starters, mains, sweets and smoothies! Currently open 6 days per week! Eco friendly boxes. Healthy Food that is good for you and good for the planet. Enjoy :-)
Have recently started eating plant based and wanted to explore vegan food in my local area.
Ordered the bean burrito and sweet potato wedges, both so yummy packed full of flavour can literally taste the love in the food ???? lovely thank you will be ordering again xx
Excellent food, delivery and service. I had the falafels, and hummus sharer. Portion sizes are very generous and there are lots of little touches, like the sesame seeds on the falafel and the granola on the hummus, are delicious.
Recyclable packaging is also a massive bonus. Will definitely be ordering again.
