Worst curry I have ever had. Stale potatoes in the sagaloo, the balti sauce was tasteless, oily and FULL of salt. The tarka dahl was also tasteless. After a few mouthfuls I threw the lot in the bin - utter waste of money.
Andover has a choice of many Indian/Bangladesh restaurants and from our experience the standard is pretty high. This was our first visit to the Mumbai Brasserie and I have to say the bar for that standard has been raised. Right from the very first moment we walked in the level of service was just outstanding. We barely had to think about ordering drinks and the essential poppadoms when they arrived almost by magic. Both the waitresses that served us were really helpful and attentive throughout the whole evening. We didn't order a started and went straight to chicken shashlik for me and the lamb methi gosht nizami for my partner. Both were excellent the lamb in particular was very succulent. After chatting with Tito (the boss) he gave us a sample of the paneer starter. This is paneer cheese tossed in a chilli sauce with garlic and Bell peppers and is absolutely fantastic.
We will be back to what I think has just become our new favourite Indian restaurant in Andover very soon. Thanks Tito and the rest of the team.
THE worst curry I’ve ever had. Tasteless, greasy/oily….never again.
Only rated four stars for atmosphere as we had delivery! Onion Bhajis didn’t come with a mint sauce as normal but really it didn’t need it. I had a Balti and my partner had a Jalfrezi and they were both good! Will be going here from now on for our takeaway nights.
It's been 3 hours since we ordered. I called 1hr 20 after ordering and was told food would be delivered within 5 minutes. 25 minutes later I called back and they said they would contact the driver and call me back. It's now been 3 hours since I ordered, no-one has called me back and no-one is answering the phone.
I'm sorry to write a bad review as I quite liked this place. First I found a long peice of plastic in my curry (presumably rubbish), but I pulled it out, gave it the benefit of the doubt and continued. Further on into my curry I then bit into a tiny peice of chicken in my vegetarian food. Unfortunately the rest got thrown in the bin, and as a loyal customer I won't be able to eat here again. The bit of plastic is forgivable, but food contamination is unacceptable, especially as this can be costly to those with allergies.
Ordered from there website on Saturday at 6.20pm should be delivered around 7.05pm called them at 7.50pm they said they are very busy but they will send food out in 5 min. Called them again just before 9pm no one answered. Today is Sunday I am still waiting ???? if you can not send food at least be honest and refund the money, if you are too busy to manage just stop taking orders. I have ordered from your website as I know how much commission other delivery partners take and it was a mistake!!! With deliveroo or Uber at least I would have an refund on my account.
Ordered through just eat when it’s turn up, missing two is the main dishes ????called them 4 times we called they wasn’t answering!!! Absolute fuming, £40 wasted. Now got to order something for me and my daughter so have to spend out more money !!! My husband curry turned up and he said it was horrible cold and no flavour same with the naan bread!! Never order it again
