Took my Tiger 800 in after another garage told me there was nothing wrong. Turns out it was quite a dangerous problem and Jack explained it all and talked me through the options. Very honest and knowledgeable and will only use MSC from now on
Ian and Jack are great...very friendly, honest likeable garage, highly recommended place to take your motorcycle....keep up the great work gents ????????????????
I took my kawasaki zx6r here after a long battle with trying to find out why it wasn't starting. I spoke to one of the lads who worked there (jack) and he talked me through everything. To save the stress I took it over and left it with him. In no time at all he diagnosed what was wrong with it and he nit-picked everything about my bike. Which was evidence of their experience at MSC. They sorted everything out and more, without asking they cleaned up my chain and greased it up. They also put washers in my handlebars to pull the throttle back to where it should be stronger. This was all free of charge and they walked me through the prices of what everything cost. I will not hesitate to go back there again should I need work doing.
Im female, and just passed my cbt. I also haven't got the blind bit of clue on motorycles or mechanics. My right indicator stopped working, the really nice guy told me to bring it in, so i did amd he sorted it on the spot. Gave me some really solid advice, helped me undo the oil cap on my bike ????, and overall was just a really nice guy. They could of easily ripped me off given that i have no clue on bikes, but was honest genuine and couldn't fault them. I'll be using them now for any and all repairs because i know i'll be looked after.
I had booked my bike for an mot and unfortunately we had to cancel the day before the guys where completely fine with it and rebooked it for me and when the time came they was brilliant very helpful happy to answer any of my questions and took the time to talk to me made me feel very confident and would highly recommend ???? thanks again guys
After getting my first motorbike i took it to MSC for a good look over and a service there customer service was brilliant they was also unbelievably thorough with the bike and clearly have years of experience on bikes. After my first service I had an issue with my back lights so took it back to them they fitted me in the next day and took them an hour absolutely brilliant guys and I couldn't recommend then enough
Service excellent can't wait for my bike to be serviced
I have been a loyal customer of MSC Motorcycles for around 10 years, with 3 different motorcycles under my ownership. For the first time in a decade, I am rather unhappy over the service I received during my most recent dealings. I received my annual reminder by post for a service and MOT for my Triumph Street Triple R and I booked a time slot for the work. At no point was it explained to me that the business had been sold and was under new ownership. Call me old fashioned, but I like to know who I am dealing with and I carefully select who I give my business to, like many other customers. It was only when I collected my bike and asked after the owner that I was told about the sale of the business. The annual service reminder letter would have been the perfect opportunity for the new owner to inform existing customers of this change. Businesses need to understand that 'people buy people'. I had to prize this information out of the new owner. This is where the problems started. Firstly, I was told my Triumph exhaust was blowing due to a hole in the collector box between the header pipes and silencer. Why....."Its a Triumph" was the answer. On further inspection when I got home and a little bit of workshop manual reading (as the new MSC owner made me feel paranoid), it transpires my exhaust does NOT have a hole and is NOT blowing. It is in fact a DRAIN HOLE at the lowest point of the collector box to drain any condensation build-up or other sources of moisture (e.g. rain and/or water from washing the exhaust in the event some water enters the system by mistake). Secondly, my invoice stated the drive chain had been adjusted. When I returned home the drive chain had too much slack in it and I had to adjust it myself. It was at this point I realized the rear spindle bolt had not been tightened to the correct torque setting. Thirdly, My clutch cable had been incorrectly adjusted to the point where there was zero play between the lever and cable (should be 1-2 mm). The fact that a mechanic cannot distinguish between a drain hole and rusted hole due to corrosion gives me great cause for concern. As is the case with incorrect drive chain tensioning and rear spindle torque setting. In fact, it has made me very suspicious of any of the work that was completed. MSC Motorcycles will not be working on my Triumph again and have lost a customer. This is a great shame, for both of us, and more so as I now need to find a new mechanic to work on my motorcycle after 10 years of high level customer satisfaction.
