It's pointless going in after 1200 as there is never anything left. This seems like a classic case of the bakery scared of the possibility of any waste at the end of the day simply not making enough. The bakery has conditioned it's customers to expect nothing after midday so has killed it's own afternoon trade. 20 years ago there was nothing left at 1400 every day, now it's pointless going after midday. I went in yesterday at 1202 and there were only 2 hot sausage rolls, a couple of loaves and 2 ice cream cones filled with marshmallow. All the other shelves were all empty.
I get the fact the bakery may say that's great we sold everything but it's the 3 hours open with nothing to sell that do the damage and manage your customer expectations.
Tesco next door ended up with my money yet again for a meal deal instead of a sandwich and cake from the bakery.
Such a shame as their products are very good as long as you get there realistically before 11 to have some choice.

Love the fresh cream yumyums cakes and great hot tasty Pasties every Saturdays , great Bakers great food great service,
You it or loose it, not many Bakers left, support them you will go back for more.
It's small but the food is lovely and the staff are very friendly and you are always made to feel very welcome there.
So happy I found this bakery!

Wish they did more brown variations on weekdays though.
The best subs out there! Lovely fresh bread, with a healthy filling of chicken mayo and all the salad. I get my lunch from the bakery most days and the ladies who serve me are always very welcoming and polite. I can't recommend this place enough!
Great selection of bread, savoury and sweet lunch options. A favourite lunchtime haunt of mine, usually for the sausage rolls and bacon sandwiches. Friendly staff and affordable prices too!
Used to be great but gone down the pan a bit since Mr Dutson died and Mrs Dutson sold it. Go round at 1pm and nothing left. The front glass on the door been dirty for months and the cake cards are never changed and are grubby looking. Products are still yummy that's why they've got 3 stars but the cleanliness has gone down somewhat. What a shame.
The bread and the pastries are fantastic. However if you work you will not had a chance to get anything, the opening times are 8AM -3PM during weekdays. You can get some good stuff over the weekend in the morning.
