Fantastic all round, clean place and a great selection
Living in the states I was so excited to have proper fish and chips for a long while
It didn’t disappoint, the cod was flakey and succulent and the batter perfectly light and crispy
The chips were fantastic and the peas a perfect side

First time here, had kebab, fish, chips and peas, as well as chicken wings.
All the food was great tasting, the kebab was one of the best I have had in a long time.

Stopped off at Mr Chips while in newark at lunchtime, what a great little find, although I only had chips and gravy I was shocked to see a bad teview on tje chips they where fantastic and reasonably prices £3.75 for angood size tray. Definitely be back.
Had very nice gluten free fish and chips from here. Everything was freshly cooked to order. The batter was light and crisp and the fish was flakey, the chips were perfect, fluffy on the inside and not soggy on the outside. 2 x small cod, small chips and bottle of water £16.00, excellent value would highly recommend.
Has to be the worse chip shop ever, the women in charge is rude and creates an awkward atmosphere among customers along with her own staff, the food is very average and she roll’s up chips that tight in paper they basically became a ball of spud..ordered cod what we received was no cod and was some thick skinned anemic mush.
Called in this evening as I was driving past at tea time and decided to give the chippy ago. Lovely crisp chips not greasy at all they were 10/10 chips for sure ✔️ we had 4 meals and everyone said how nice their meal was! The chippy had a steady flow of people coming in to buy their tea/supper. I will definitely be marking this place for a return visit when I’m back in the area. Lovely owners /staff who enjoyed the through put of customers making a friendly chippy atmosphere. I review a lot of chip shops up and down the country the food from here is very good and well in the top ten places to get a chippy tea from.
Great Chip Shop, and with lots of nice off the wall items to choose as well, nice fish and chips and kebab and lovely mushroom gravy.. Other chip shops take note of the menu
Went on Monday for fish and chips to take back to a campsite 15mins away for dinner for me and my family.
The chips were good, but the fish was amazing, had a lightly battered large cod and it was stunning.
I don't leave serious reviews often but this was that good I really needed to post here. Thank you Mr Chips, thank you.
