Went for food at about 2:30 pm, it was quiet even though people were also eating, music not overpowering, easy access from main road, friendly staff and fast delivery of food to the table. The price is good for the portion. Drinks were well priced from what I had. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Intend to come here again
Extremely expensive and limited drinks selection. We were charged £84 for three adult mains, a kids pizza three soft drinks and a pina colada that tasted like sour pineapple. Food was decent although crammed into tiny plates and we could have got comparable food at brewers fayre for £60. Staff were nice enough although for a venue that is refurbished to such a standard, to have to stand at the bar for ten minutes to order food then again for drinks doesn’t quite fit the atmosphere. This was the only local restaurant we hadn’t tried yet. Disappointed.
1st time for us to have a sunday roast here im very fussy and dont eat out much but everything about today was 10/10 and we will be back the food was piping hot and plenty of it and very tasty plus a big thank youn to the waitress who ran down the street after us with my brothers wallet which had dropped out of his pocket . We will be returning .
Nice place, friendly staffed. The food was nice and well cooked. The menu isn't bad though some items are clearly overpriced
We went to Morgan’s Wine Bar with my wife for breakfast and enjoyed a freshly cooked and reasonably priced meal in a clean and pleasant bistro bar. The meal was let down however by the poor quality of their sausages. There are competitive establishment nearby who provide a far greater standard of food at similar prices. I was also slightly disappointed my Forces discount was not accepted.
We ordered food for delivery on the Deliveroo app. Firstly the delivery driver drove practically past our front door to make a delivery but then carried on to Nantyglo then back to Brynmawr and then finally to us. The vegan deluxe pizza looked as though it had been involved in a RTC; most of it was upside down and/or stuck to the lid with the toppings strewn everywhere else apart from on the pizza. As for the vegan korma and rice... a korma is coconut based giving it a mild, creamy flavour. This was tomato based with not even the slightest hint of coconut. The vegetables were either tinned or frozen and had been boiled to the point of droopiness. The tiny bit of flavour appeared to have come from a shop bought curry sauce mix. The rice was stuck together in a lump with crusty bits on the top and unidentifiable red flakes sprinkled all over it. Needless to say the dogs had a feast this evening.
We go too morgans most Sundays for lunch , the staff are always friendly and food is fab
