I booked and payed for the hotel online, however there was a problem with the system which showed that no payment went through. In room 6, the windows were old and looked like they've never been cleaned. It was loud, and there was problem with the pipes in the bathroom. When I flushed the toilet it smelled like sewage waste. When I asked to switch rooms I was told they were all booked, and that the staff knew about the problem and I was only given an air freshener. In room 9, the bed was broken and you couldn't turn on the cold water in the bath. The breakfast was served fast, but it was cold and the portions were small. Also the tablecloth and cutlery were dirty. I would not recommend and definitely would not stay there again.
Mixed experience, staff were friendly and accommodating, had to switch room because the lock was broken on the first one, very dated and not very clean, needs some love and attention, windows not cleaned on the inside for years it seems. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfy. Shower was hot with good pressure. Random furniture left in hallways. Bar and restaurant closed so had to go out. Only stay if your on a budget!
We booked into this hotel despite negative reviews on the booking site. It turns out that we made the right decision. The staff were very friendly, helpful and seemed happy in their work. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel, good quality food cooked well. The hotel is just being refurbished after a period of closure so the décor is old but the rooms are comfortable and clean. I suspect that the people who left the negative reviews were expecting somewhere which was decorated yesterday... which this one definitely wasn't - but that shouldn't detract from the clean rooms, good food and good hospitality.
Me and my lady arrived at the hotel and were warmly welcomed and given one of their most luxurious suits. They have provided everything we have asked for and asked us at least 7 times if we are happy and have everything we need (we are very picky and know what we want). The room was very clean and really nice. They had huge Sony plasma TV that we enjoyed a lot. For a change the breakfast time was on request. It was very tasty and very good portion size. They had no forgotten to make my lady happy and serve her vegetarian dish. We have GREATLY ENJOYED OUR STAY, would highly recommend it.
Even though the hotel needs updating and work doing , our room was clean and pleasant , hand sanitiser was provided and there to use . The room was acceptable , the bed was comfortable and bedding spotless and we had lovely clean , crisp white towels provided and Hannah was an amazing host and did her best to please even offering a nice continental breakfast up to our room
These are difficult times as we know so we need to learn to be more accepting of changes that have to be made

I stayed one night for work purposes the bed was comfy the welcome was warm. It has a very homely feel which is a nice change from all the chains i usually stay in Check in was very quick and easy. It looks like the owners are putting effort in. I think the more guests they have i can only see it going from strength to strength.
Comfortable rooms but each room we used had a broken toilet seat and the TV is tiny! The first night we stayed, we had no milk on our hot drink tray.. very old fashioned, ok for price with breakfast included.
The staff are really friendly and they have the best positive vibe. The hotel has a retro style decoration which is really fine by me. The staff even told us where to go to explore the area. They only get 4 stars because the restaurant is closed when the guide says it's open as well as the bar. We know that the reception closes at 10 but since there is supposed to be a restaurant it should be open. Other than that, a great experience to obtain.
