The waitress with blonde curly hair was very rude and rolled her eyes when I asked to eat in. She said and I quote "you have 40mins" I found this a bit strange as all I ordered was a sandwich and tea but as she assumed I wanted take away, she then got upset that she had to Re do the order on the till. The man behind the counter was friendly and polite (hence the 2 star rating for service), but unfortunately this does mot go a long way once you have been made to feel uncomfortable, after paying £16 for 2 rolls and 2 teas.
Will not visit again.
Great family run cafe and the best in the quadrant! Hits the spot every time I visit and looks like they had a decor over Christmas too! Really recommend the Molen’s special burger has been my favourite for a while or the full english breakfast which never fails to disappoint!!!
Was ignored on entry to cafe by staff , my friend had to prompt two staff behind counter for a menu as sat a while waiting to be served. When tried to attract staff in a polite way was greeted by a disgruntled waitress who seemed like she didn't want to be there, order was taken but my meal arrived quick but after 20 mins was still waiting for my friends meal , had to prompt staff and it appeared to have been forgotten , by now I had eaten my sandwich and 30 mins later my friends meal finally arrived. Poor service won't rush back.
It was also noticed they were running a takeaway service also and maybe the service to the cafe menu's were affected because of this.
Visited numerous times 2023 and later.

A superb and busy cafe in the middle of small suburban arcade, lots of local's footfall.
Very broad menu, from sandwiches, to cooked breakfasts to main courses, plus desserts, good range of coffees, syrups and teas.
Signature dishes are i) salt beef sandwich, packed with sweet pickles (cucumber) and mustard; and ii) a fried chicken escalope served in a granary bap, with salad, mayo, seasoning and lots of lemon juice. Always done to perfection, just the right portion size for lunchtime.
Beware the New York burger. It is the size of New York.
Astonishing value, a glorious carbohydrate overload.
Excellent full English breakfast. Good basic coffee. Great place to grab breakfast at the weekend. Always full so sometimes there is a short wait.
Excellent value for money, nice atmosphere, great staff and hugely generous portions! I had to ask for half my food to be put in a takeaway box as it was too much to eat but too good to waste!! Highly recommend this place!!
Lovely food, but FAR too expensive.
I understand food prices, gas etc have gone up recently, but charging nearly £11.50 for an omelette and a few chips is a complete rip off.
If it wasn't so expensive I'd go more often.
Also, the card machine seems to be permanently 'broken' so they only want cash payments.. hmmmm
10/10 english breakfast , staff are friendly and welcoming this place is a go to for me. highly recommend salt beef sandwiches
