Used to be good many years ago. Went in for a snack and the guys said £1.50 for a portion of pakoras. I didn’t have cash so he said minimum payment is £2. Someone called out from the back and he charged £4 in the end ????
The food at the front is not fresh - I’m sure the restaurant food is better, can’t say. The pakoras were just a mass of gram flour, no veg to speak of, tasteless and very stale!
Went to this place to remind old Mobeen restaurant which was located in green street. Thought the food and atmosphere would be the same but upon first impression restaurant is very small maybe 3/4 dinning table are around. Ordered double kebab roll and meat samosa total cost was £4.
I remember in old Mobeen the kebab were made freshly but not today boy behind the counter just microwave the entire food which was luke warm and also not had same taste as it use
To be.
Samosa was good size with full meat filling but it be great if it was a bit warm.
Overall food is good value for money but I think they if owner and managers go back basic old way would be much pleasant for old green street customers.
Nice food but a bit oily. Good if you are in a hurry for a curry ????
Excellent food and great prices, been coming here for 20 or so years, the interior of the place could do with an overhaul, it looks like the original decor. Kebabs and Naan bread etc is made directly in front of you and it's pretty quick service. Parking is only on the side streets.
Omg, this is a hidden gem of a restaurant, looks a little like a greasy spoon Pakistani style, but try the freshly cooked lamb seekh kebabs and naan bread, both cooked in a tandoor, totally lovely and tasty!
I thoroughly recommend this place for a typical rustic meal, they also do spinach lamb and daal..... Yum!
Will be back soon. :-)
Btw, I'm back in London and yes, I had lamb kebabs and naan, all freshly made.
Amazing place as always, love the food!
Hiya, visited on the 5th Jube 2023, had kebab rolls, and samosas! Loved it as usual!
Took nearly 40 minutes to prepare food. Chef was serving customers who came well after me
Although respectable to me,I felt chef made me wait because I am a woman and served all the men first.
Food was good but service not great.????
We ate chicken biriyani and jilebi. Nice food. They have wide range of meat and rice items. Good spot to try new foods. Now they have 3 pound student biriyani offer ????????. The samoosa and other snacks tastes really good. Kebabs and nan is also tasty
Great traditional food, it's unique nowadays
