Disappointed with the health center's approach to Achilles tendinitis treatment. Their assessment was inadequate, lacking a structured rehabilitation program and an overemphasis on self-managed exercise without proper guidance. They did not consider therapies like shockwave therapy, which is essential for comprehensive care. I would avoid wasting my time with them
I was very stressed today because I haven't slept for three nights due to this heat wave that we are currently experiencing. I was due to have a physiotherapy appointment at 1:30 this afternoon and I just knew when I got up this morning that I felt too sick and weak and tired to attend. I sincerely appreciate how very important and valuable NHS appointments are and so I was very nervous when I phoned to cancel last minute. But the lady could hear that I was genuinely suffering and her name was Sarah. Sarah went above and beyond anything I have experienced in any kind of Customer Services situation in a very long while. She was kind and compassionate, friendly sincere and Incredibly patient and helpful. She kindly rearrange the appointment for me but it wasn't just that she did that it was her entire attitude towards me and I can honestly say that it has really made me feel very important to this practice and I really felt heard and I really felt respected. As far as I'm concerned this lady has had gold star customer service training and I wish other companies and businesses could operate in this way. I look forward to having my first physiotherapy session with Milson Road Health Centre, especially if they are all as warm and friendly and reassuring as this wonderful lady. Actually I did in fact have my first telephone consultation about a month ago with one of the physiotherapists and it is worth mentioning that she was extremely professional and very well informed and I I'm extremely confident that I will receive five star therapy from this organization. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face today.
Always have a great and helpful service from the reception colleagues on the phone. Friendly and efficient. Sacha also has been brilliant. I think the issues are due to the NHS issues overall - not the individuals who work in this clinic.
Poor service.
I have had my left shoulder frozen since December, which impacted my upper back and neck, and gave me intense headaches. I finally managed to get an appointment on 27th of May. That has given me hope to be helped as having a 30% functional arm and being in pain 24/7 dramatically affects my life.
The therapist asked me what treatment I wanted; I thought that was for her to say. No proper investigation, no action plan. I was under the impression that she was trying to follow her protocol but not listening to a patient who lives daily in pain.
She was supposed to send me an email with some exercises to be followed, which I have not received yet.
Disappointing!
Hello
I had a blood test done 2 weeks ago, I keep having phone assessments being scheduled , they never call but say they did … yet not as I am by my phone waiting for them to call.
Then I first received a lousy text message but I really want to talk to a doctor !
Then Doctor Freya Yowar sent a more detailed text message (not like the other doctor)which was reassuring and gave better explanation, Amen!
Most surgery have now resume face to face appointments but not this one it seems .
So frustrating but may be they have a good reason so I don’t want to be too harsh on them …
Receptionists are lovely, the nurse is amazing but doctors seem to be totally disorganised and overwhelmed …let’s hope the service soon match the new spotless updated building
Terrible service spent over a year waiting for a face to face appointment for being referred to surgery on a rotator cuff injury.
Had three appointments cancelled on the day and sat through two six month waiting lists. It's a cheap service that even the phone employees are embarrassed about. Have sent two complaints in without anything being done. It's a poor service that's built around profit and marketing.
The downfall of the NHS is imminent, and a lot of it is going to be from the useless consultants you have to support musculoskeletal, and other pain not seen on imaging. The lack of knowledge that your supposed “consultants” offer in this clinic is mind blowing, it’s truly disgraceful. Treating your patients like robots, like a number, with little to zero knowledge given on what’s actually going on with them- it’s crazy. Imagine waiting months for a specialist to see you, to hear “I don’t know why you are here to see me, I’m not a specialist for backs” then to be told “we can’t doing nothing for you”.
Avoid this clinic, every consultant is as unbothered as the next. Change areas of GP, do what you gotta do, just don’t go here.
Karma
How unlucky to be assigned to this health centre. Being late for more than 10 minutes for a straifht cancellion without informing about the policy prior even i have called prior to inform i will be late. The doctor would rather just sit inside the room doing nothing than giving me at least 10 minutes of appointment time. It is doomed if this is what the UK healthcare system is like in general
