Soup and sandwich combo for me on this occasion.
Potato soup was lovely and thick and tasty, had to add salt, but that's a choice thing these days.
Followed by a roll and square sausage, along with a pot of tea (two cups worth).
And all for £7.50, well worth it, in my humble opinion.
I've been before, and I'll certainly be again.
Wholeheartedly recommend.
Great service! To the point, swift and kindly professional to the bone. They know well what theyre doing and is an inspiration to be served by them ????
They happily recommended that my drink offer can be replaced with any drink in their shop, not only coffee/tea as indicated and I think that's a magical thing to do ????
The full scottish breakfast was de li ci ous ???? best black pudding ive had ????
Clean space and well kept, and nice strong coffee.
Defo treat yourself there if around the area ????
It "doesnt look like much" according to big city modern style standards..although it is ????️????????????????????
I went in for a piece of cake and a coffee an maybe a takeaway sandwich. It was busy but kinda normal, people were seamingly waiting at tables to be served - there’ were 4 members of staff on - and there is only a handful of tables…
I was told repeatedly for almost 8 minutes someone would be able to take my order whilst I waited at the till, 4 separate occasions the waitresses looked past me whilst talking to each other about how busy they were as though I wasn’t stood there, I simply wanted a coffee to go and a piece of cake ( potentially some other food had I of been served ) in the end I walked out.
Wasn’t so much as an apology whilst I waited - I was patient and smiled whilst no one even decided to explain they would maybe be too busy or couldn’t because they were over exerted.
Went to another cafe around the corner @20:45.
Served immediately hot food with a smile.
Was quite disappointed that Timbermills cafe seemed so unable to take my business.
Beautiful food and service was very fast. Will definitely be back
Lovely local coffee shop.
Friendly staff and good food.
Went in for lunch busy but a few empty tables ,waited at counter over 10 mins to be served girl kept saying il be with you in a min . When she got round to serving us she said sit in or takeaway? We said sit in she said theres no tables those are reserved even though there was nothing on tables to say that . We decided then to leave she said il give you it as takeaway we declined. Not everyone wants to stand on the pavement eating lunch . Not very good to make anyone wait then say theres no tables will give it a miss in future
Enjoy the coffee - staff are a friendly bunch. Good variety of choices on the menu. Can be busy at times which is always a good sign. COVID compliant.
Excellent service as always just today I asked apple pie and cream but the apple pie wasn't warmed propley quite disappointed.as it's usually out standing
