I broke down last Thursday evening in Whitland. Millforge recovery came out to help. A female on my own, late at night,. It was a relief to see recovery. I was made to feel safe, warm and protected. These guys are a great asset to the company and we're very professional.
So a big thank you to Craig and Kym.
Absolutely bloody amazing folk here. Sammy came to my rescue Tuesday night by dispatching a lovely gentleman who not only worked his magic by getting my keys out of the locked car. But also the car out of a swamp too. Highly recommend. Amazing people at Millforge garage. Thank you
This garage SAVED us during an extremely difficult event. We unfortunately got wedged horizontally across a narrow Welsh road. It is, I think, everyone's worst nightmare and we were horrified to find out break down cover didn't cover the situation. This garage came to rescue, they were kind and sympathetic, arrived quickly, managed to free us despite the impossible positioning of the lwb van and then didn't charge us the earth. The driver and receptionist were both very kind to us given how awful it all was and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you to you both if you read this. You really saved the day, literally. Couldn't recommend them enough!
My mum who is in her 70s and drives about 50 miles a week had her clutch replaced here. Over 900 pounds. The gearbox jammed 15 minutes later. They then took the car back and refitted it. They said they had put a new one in. The car was never right after, and lost acceleration all the time. Clutch replaced again now again after just 18 months. I will add photos below so you can see for yourself the state of the "new clutch" they fitted after about 1500 miles. No way on earth it was a new. Anyway, a terrible experience here. They have been totally disinterested in discussing it. And hopefully people will read this review and avoid them. Get your car mended elsewhere.
After my car breaking down in flood water last week I received a call from Dyfed Powys Police on Saturday evening to say that my car had to be recovered as they were receiving numerous calls from the public . I told them Millforge were recovering my vehicle when the water had subsided . They then contacted the breakdown service who rang me to say they’d been instructed to move the car . The lady was pleasant and helpful .
Unlike today when I called the garage to arrange to collect my personal belongings . I was met with a rude abusive manner. A lady who blamed myself in putting her staff at risk on a Saturday evening . She also said I’d lied about the road having opened ! I had no idea .. I can’t see 5 miles down the road ! I tried to explain to her that I’d received a call from the police but she just wouldn’t listen .
Unfortunately I won’t after this be collecting my belongings from my car . I also pray I don’t break down and have to have my car recovered when it doesn’t suit the lady who organises recovery ! Not a great experience
Only experienced Millforge twice; the second time most recently. The first time, they were used as a local service via the AA, and so it was a pretty straightforward process. However, more recently, we had an issue with my wife’s car and we needed to get them to tow us from home (not covered as less than half a mile from house) to a local dealer-specific garage about 10 miles away.
Everything was super simple, super cheap, super quick and done with an exceptional customer service. You know when people say “you can hear when someone on the phone has a smile on their face”? Well, this what the experience.
From a 9am call, we were at the garage within an hour. Great from start to finish. Throughly recommended.
Excellent response time from initial call to breakdown insurance. My car was recovered to a local garage in no time at all. Very impressed with the overall service.
My sons clutch went in his car within minutes of arriving in Tenby. We stopped to turn around in a car park & he couldn’t go any further. On a Friday at 5pm, we had a recovery vehicle within 30 minutes to tow the car to where we were staying. The driver was very nice, very friendly & very knowledgeable.
