Paid car parking with many local trails nearby for hikes and walks. Usually not very busy, but I tend to use it at about 7 in the morning getting out by 11. But never seen it so busy that there isn’t a space available. Good news is it’s reasonably priced (£3 for 4 hours) and there are toilet available that are usually clean. You can pay using traditional methods or use Ringo.
It's a free car park and that's good, but most of it is flooded potholes. There are toilets there, but the last several times I have been there, they've been locked.
It's a great location to park, but a real disaster of a car park.
I've returned to this car park and a great deal of gravel has been added over the surface and it's a big improvement.
The toilets remain inaccessible.
We didn't park there - we couldn't due to their payment system not operating. keypad broken and no internet or phone signal available. We left and parked for free down the road. If a payment charge arrives, we shall not be paying it but will certainly send them a counter-charge for wasting our time.
I’ve used this car park for years. It’s been free and now you must pay.
WARNING to anyone parking here. We were 4:30 mins late leaving, used loo, changed shoes and said our goodbyes, £100 fine ????????
We were late as we helped a member of the public who was taken ill. No grace period ????
I think it's a good idea, to have the car park outside of this beautiful picturesque village. Saying that, there was lots of people that got quite confused over the payment method in the car park.
Be very careful with the payments, overpay if you are unsure. They are merciless with the fines. We paid for 4hrs, left car park 15 mins late due to our walk taking too long. Appealed but they were not interested. It's our fault but it's not like we had no intention to pay.
It's a car park without lights and not tarmacced. Ideal for visiting the southern part of the Chilterns. However you do need to pay nowadays.
If visiting Hambledon Lock for a walk along the Thames, then this is the best place to park. It's an easy stroll to the lock and river of only about 6 or 7 minutes. Cost was minimal, a couple of quid for a few hours. There are toilets here in the carpark FYI.
