A family booking booked sometime in advance of our stay.|The property did not reflect any of the photos as described due to the fact the new owner was and still is doing the place up. What has been done will make a huge difference to future bookings, but it wasn't ready for us. After endless phones calls to Holidays. Com and the owner lots of our issues were resolved and we were given compensation. |This place hopefully will be fabulous when work has been completed.
We enjoyed a pre Christmas getaway with friends. There were 9 of us and we had 5 good bedrooms. The property was a bit dated but this did not spoil our stay . We had plenty of room and were very comfortable. There was a well stocked supermarket in walking distance and plenty of places to visit including great walks.
This is overall a great property in a fantastic location. Great views, amenities in very easy reach. Fabulous coastline. The house is ideal for large parties and suits 2 families very well. |The important bits like beds, floors and bathrooms are perfectly clean as you would expect and everything works. Most of what you’d need is there. No real complaints overall and we really enjoyed our stay. |It could be improved greatly with personal touches like some board games and a broader range of kitchen utensils to fill all the empty drawers and cupboards. Also sorting some of the silly things like the tap in the downstairs cloakroom that completely misses the sink and sprays directly onto the floor!||The bad bits:|1, The place is quite tired and really needs some proper TLC. Looking beyond the important stuff, cleaning is a bit lacklustre with cobwebs that really could be cleaned up without much effort. Also items left by past guests under beds that haven’t been found. Glasses, bottles of drink, food etc. |2, The front door is rotten and desperately needs to be replaced. Much of the outside needs maintenance with broken gutters and paint peeling. |3, The hot tub is not being maintained properly, or indeed at all. The water is murky, smells bad and according to a test strip all the important readings are well out of range, which is a real shame. |4, There just isn’t enough water pressure for all the bathrooms. Whilst there are 5, realistically only 1 can be used at a time. ||I wouldn’t discourage anyone from staying here. It really is a good place overall, but it could be amazing. It just doesn’t feel like anyone really cares about it that much, and that’s such a shame.
Just spent a week here sharing with friends. Whatever the gripes by previous visitors were, they have been addressed. I'm sure more work will be done over the Winter months to revitalise some of the paintwork.||||That said, the accommodation is large and with eight adults there was enough rooms for everyone to have their own privacy. With a large dining room, sitting room, lounge and kitchen there were no arguments about what to watch on TV!||We didn't use the bunk room, which is dark, but you'd only use the room at night anyway!||All the rooms were very clean with en suite. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of storage space and hangers.||The Hot Tub was enjoyed by those who like that sort of thing.||Kitchen has everything you need for self catering and there's a large NISA up the road to get your supplies.||The view from the property is stunning and you're guaranteed beautiful sunsets.||Plenty of car parking. ||Negatives: ||Just got to be careful when driving onto the road. It's on a wicked corner, but a strategically placed mirror ensures you can get out safely. Personally, I'd have preferred larger coffee mugs!||||I'd be very happy to come back in the future
Only a couple of very minor observations so let’s get them out of the way first! Our ground floor bedroom which was very comfortable and well appointed was located at the front of the property alongside a narrow covered outdoor seating area which members of the household use for smoking leading to cigarette (?)smoke entering the room! Only trivial I know and be aware that entry/exit onto the main road can be Tricky!|Everything else was perfect: charming and helpful hosts, comfortable bed, well appointed room, good WiFi signal. And a very good breakfast crowned by an excellent bowl of fresh fruit salad,|We would happily return and would recommend!
I knew right from our original telephone booking this would be a lovely place.||I had gone to book online originally and their booking system was playing up, giving out half price rooms. Not wanting to book and have a problem at a later date I spoke to Lynn, who was very grateful that I pointed it out. Because of my honesty Lynn upgraded our booking to one of their really nice rooms.....and we weren't disappointed.||On arrival Suzanne met up and offered us tea and bara brith, which we had in our room and it was delicious. ||Lovely room (Red Kite) with views over to the coast. Large shower room with double shower and waterfall shower head. ||Small fridge in the room (in which Lynn/Suzanne had put a bottle of wine for our honesty - nice touch and very much appreciated). Also Suzanne brought us some fresh milk to put in the fridge for our tea/coffee.||You have to pre-order breakfast the day before, never a problem for us.||Free wi-fi and car park.||Breakfast was fantastic. Lovely selection of fresh fruit with pots of natural yoghurt containing honey (heaven), cereals, pastries, toast , etc. before a wonderfully cooked full Welsh breakfast. My other half said the sausages were the best he'd had all week!||Entrance and exit from the car park can be a bit hairy but there's a mirror opposite and if you're careful there's no problems.||Situated in between Aberaeron & New Quay, both lovely places to visit. ||Sadly we only had one night here, but I feel sure we will be back as we have family currently living nearby.||Thank you so much Lynn and Suzanne for your wonderful hospitality.||We will be happy to recommend you to friends and family.
The wife and I wanted to come somewhere nice and quiet just to relax for the weekend , when we arrived a bit early lynn said it was fine and give us our Appartment early which was brilliant , we had some friends that visited for the day and we had a nice long coastal path walk to new quay , and when we rang lynn to see if they had a spare room so they could stay she was very accommodating and helpful , you either will need a car to get about or like walking , the views from the coastal path are amazing , will definitely booking again , thanks very much , Steve Nicola Perry and Annette .||||PS . Hot tub was a nice relaxing bonus aswel
Great little apartment, kitted out to a very good standard. Enjoyed our weekend even though it was in the midst of a storm the apartment was warm and welcoming. Hot tub was great too..
