My two stars are for the two delightful members of staff we encountered during our stay, who were the only thing that saves this hotel and should probably receive knighthoods for services to polishing turds. ||I take my hat off to you both. On the bar and reception. Charming and |polite and absolutely bending over backwards to make the experience bearable. This now feels like kicking kittens might…||Man, where to start…||It’s cheap. Which is a clever ploy in some ways as you can’t really complain about all the niggles, without feeling like, well…it’s ok cos it’s a budget hotel…|You can’t help feeling though…if they got out some wallpaper paste and turned the heating on they could charge more||It’s a bit of a cut and shut style decor wise. Bits have clearly had attention, and others really, really not. The photographer needs a bloody industry recognition award for capturing the place for the promo pics!||The niggles….|The room was cold and there was no way of changing that|The bathroom door wouldn’t shut…not ideal|The plumbing plays some unholy drum solo every time water is run or the toilet is flushed, and it does not stop…for hours…choose your wee time carefully or don’t flush is my best advice!|Pray no one is staying the the room above you…tap dancing at 6am is not the alarm call one appreciates…|If you enjoy the soporific sound of hgv’s through the night, it’s a definite winner for you. Likewise if you live under Heathrow’s flighpath the noise of the planes will also be home from home I’d say |It’s not dirty, but it is tired…peeling wallpaper, damaged tiles…a modernist artwork in the making maybe?|The tv does not work…at all…but the WiFi is free, so you can at least watch stuff on your phone |Or talk to your family…maybe it just needs rebranding?||Oh, and the food. Dear God. Just don’t risk it. |Drinks are cheap though…so maybe stick to drowning your sorrows. ||Approach with caution. And hope the cheery barman is there to brighten your day ????
The Warwickshire park Hotel was way above my expectations for a 3 star hotel.|We went to the Motor home show at the NEC and decided to stay local after a long day as we are from London .|The room was clean and well equipped with every thing we needed .The staff very welcomming . |The reason I gave 5 stars is the food and service ! The spice/ crispy chicken wing were just so good as was the beef curry . My wife had the burger , again she rated it as one of her best .|The selection of deserts was large . Try the home made apple pie .|Yes I love my food but this was a great all round experience.
Second worst hotel stay in 23 years on business travel. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!||Like a building site (room 70) freezing, shower broken, no hot water to taps, tv stopped working, could lock or shut door. Mould and damp in room. Was provided with a tiny fan heater for large, bare room. No heater in bathroom either.||Was offered free food which wasn’t much better to be honest. Even on leaving I asked the receptionist if she would stay in the room and she said no way…..||I gave my contact details to speak to the manager when in, but nothing…..must know!!||Place should be knocked down. Considering reporting to authorities as not fit for purpose.||See the pictures of next door, complete with rotting fast food in the corner, brushes in roller trays which have obviously been left like that for ages - DISGUSTING.||Honestly, you would be better sleeping in the car.
As most reviews suggest, it needs money spent on the place.. it wasn’t very expensive so I can’t grumble too much, but you can see things like the building needs work , roof tiles look shabby , my mattress was so thin and worn it was hard and lumpy on the bed. No shower gel in the shower. The tap wasn’t firmly fixed on ! The food was ok for breakfast. ( only scrambled egg no fried !) but dinner was mediocre at best. I’d eat elsewhere tbh. Location is nice , quiet countryside. Plenty of parking. Handy for m40 , Warwick etc. staff were helpful but under staffed. I didn’t complain because you could see they were over stretched. I really wouldn’t recommend it especially not for a romantic trip ! I was with a bunch of hairy bikers , but I wouldn’t take a partner there. Maybe it needs a new owner to throw a few million quid at it. Comments please !
We stayed on a work related visit. Checking in was simple. We made our way down to the restaurant for dinner, food was fine but despite this place going through what appears to be a returb the finish looks like it was done by the owners cousins son. I’d get money back for the refurb.
The staff where lovely, they were having problems with the boiler so we had to change rooms at 21:00hrs. The staff definitely lifted this place, the decor wasn’t great but it was clean. The first room we had did have some serious blemishs which I’d love to know the story behind, especially the bathroom door.
Despite the exterior looking fabulous this please does need some character on the inside. Also we had plastic cups in the bathroom which is terrible for the environment.
Had the misfortune to stay here for 2 nights after my work booked the hotel whilst we were attending a nearby show.|Arrived at very uninspiring reception, check in was very quick, mostly because no information about the hotel was provided.|No details in the room either about meals, Wi-Fi passwords etc.|Nice feature if reception is an open utility room with mops and buckets on full display.|My room was on 2nd floor, note that there is no lift at this hotel.|Got to 2nd floor and was greeting by rubbish and broken fridges laying in the corridors.|Room itself was dated, tatty, and not particularly clean.|The bathroom had lots of black mold, the toilet seat was loose, the shower controls did not operate correctly, the sink taps dripped constantly, and the bathroom door was falling apart and looked like it had been kicked in!|The room was set out as two single beds, one of the beds was under the skylight, no other window in the room, and was wet and covered in debris from the weather outside.|The screen of the TV was filthy, and looked as though it had been ‘cleaned’ with a mop, and the remote control did not seem to work unless you were stood 6 inches from the TV.|There was no information in the room, including no evacuation procedures for fires etc.|Worrying all fire doors in the hotel had been wedged open and so if there had been an incident then it could be very serious.|I took breakfast in the hotel which was a buffet style. Went down at 0730 each morning which was the start of the session and found that a lot of items were already unavailable, including cooked breakfast, bread, butter and milk!|This was the same on both mornings.|Sleep quality was very poor. |There is no air conditioning in the hotel and so had to have the skylight open to cool the room but was then kept awake by the weather, the main road which runs directly past the hotel, and noise from the car park and guests entering and leaving the hotel.|On the plus side, I did eat in the hotel on one evening and found the service and food in the restaurant to be OK.
We stayed here as a group of 70 for a weekend of celebration and party.||From the first contact I had with Nicole, she couldn't have done more to make sure everything was perfect.||The venue, the food, the rooms, the facilities, the staff - everything was incredible.||The staff got involved and helped us with our raffle and judging our fancy dress and looked after us so well.||The breakfast buffet (hot and continental) was extensive, fantastic quality and constantly refreshed so even if you came down towards the end of the breakfast window there was still plenty of food.||The buffet tea was of exceptional quality and variety, refreshed throughout the evening to ensure everyone had fresh food whenever they arrived.||Our 3 course formal dinner was the same. Despite there being such a large group, all food was delivered to the tables hot and delicious. ||The team worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed.||Full compliments to the chefs and kitchen team.||Front of house staff couldn't do enough for us. And there was a lot of us to just a few of them.||We would not hesitate in coming back to the Warwickshire Park Hotel again as a big group or as a couple.||I think I have found my new favourite place ????
Absolutely horrendous stay. The outside of this hotel is lovely, shame about the rooms. I was allocated a room which was disgusting. There was dirty laundry on the chair, no tv, marks on the mattress, marks/scratches all over the flooring, wires left on the floor, no attempt made to hide them, damage to wall by the door. Having complained to reception was told no other rooms available. When I asked for a refund I was told I couldn’t as no manager was available to action it. Eventually another room was found which was marginally better, had a tv but no remote control, so useless. Breakfast was £9.95, which I paid for, however, I wasn’t told that it was only a continental breakfast, no cooked food at all. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not be returning to this hotel.
