Super fresh, tasty, excellent value fish and chips cooked to order by the very nice friendly lady owner. Highly recommended.
Rather disappointed with our haddock and chips yesterday lunchtime. Shame because we were looking forward to it. Anaemic looking batter which wasn't particularly crispy. Nothing special, certainly no 'Yum!' factor so wouldn't go there again. Pricey too compared to other (better) chip shops in Suffolk
Popped in here for dinner to eat by the river, was lovely. Quick service, large fresh fish, good portion of chip. Kids sausages by far some of the nicest I’ve had. The chips didn’t leave that greasy feeling that you sometimes get from chip shop chips… great find!! Will definitely be returning
Excellent chips, savaloy was actually hot (so many places can't manage that!) sausage in batter was good.
I only ordered 2 cod and chips which was over £20 and when I asked for a bag, they wanted to charge me an extra 35p they're just taking the p, it was a paper bag, not plastic and the woman was so miserable, you would have thought it was her family that you were about to eat????
They fry your fish to order, so it's excellent
Well what can I say chips was really oily tasted nasty left a greacy dirty oil taste???? portion was really small. This topped my don't go to list for worst chip shop I've ever been to. Very unimpressed ordered medium chips and sausage the sausage was cheap but ok chips was terrible portion was criminal ????
Visited while having a few days away and was recommended to go here - what a shame. The 2 x large Cod were lovely, the 2 x medium cod were full of bones - asked the lady would a large chips (£3.60) do 4 x small portions and she said yeah will fine - opened it when back at the lodge to say you probably get 2 small portions at best - I understand prices have gone up but seriously for that money I expect a decent portion of chips at the very least !!!
