Sharing 1st experience at Mcdonalds in Taplow inside the bishop centre. Great ambience, friendly staff. Just opened on 24th jan 2024!
Waited 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches and fries. When I pointed out to a staff member that one of the sandwiches had red onion, despite the order specifying otherwise, they stated it didn’t have. ????????♂️ Maybe she didn’t know how onion looks like.
I understand it’s opened recently, but these things should’t happen.
I have been a few times now and each time the services is very slow (20min for a meal). This conveyor belt system is ridiculous as burgers arrive dismantled! Food is not great and lukewarm. nuggets are hard and taste strange. When you ask for extra or without they get it wrong. How difficult is it! Staff just don’t have a clue and not communicating with one another. When asked why the order is wrong they are like “it’s really busy”….WHAT!
They really need to up their game, disappointing!
Visited on a Saturday evening, busy with sit down customers, but I got my food very quickly after ordering.
Most importantly, they have a separate area for the delivery drivers, which means the walk in customers don't get crowded.
An issue that spoils a lot of the other restaurants when you can barely move for people and UberEats bags.
The main kitchen is upstairs, too, which means it's quieter than most McDonald's.
Would sooner drop into this one than the Maidenhead town centre restaurant now.
I live very locally to this McDonald's, and stopped off here on a walk I took a few days ago. It's convenient having one situated next to the other shops in the Bishop's Centre, but this is not that great, which is a shame as it's very new and very clean inside.
The food is nice, as always, but the space is so small that it tends to be extremely crowded, especially at peak times. There's only two kiosks (four if you count that they're double sided) to use, but because they're all placed very close together, you feel like you're being crammed in if someone needs to use the one behind you, or if the queue line is there.
There's also only a small seating area, which becomes full very quickly, and it can take an inordinate amount of time from placing your order to receiving it - I waited around 20 minutes for a Big Mac meal, during which time the queue behind me turned into a large crowd of people waiting!
Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to, I can't really recommend this McDonald's. Driving for an additional 5-10 minutes to the Drive-Thru in Slough is much more worthwhile.
Service was so slow ordered 4 Mayo Chickens and took over 35 mins to get them. One of the Staff members was quite rude by waving her hands and laughing when I asked about an update on the food. Then when I finally received them I was approached at my table by Shehla who was persistent on writing a good review for her personally and in return she would give free food. She even stood and waited till I wrote a review but I later deleted it as I felt pressured to Write only good and not a true Review. This is the First and Last time I will be visiting this McDonald’s.
The food was good and fresh but the service was so slow, 23 mins from ordering to receiving a simple breakfast item and it wasn't very busy either!
Upon arrival, I encountered a significantly long queue with approximately 30 customers. My wait time stretched to 15 minutes, which felt considerably longer than usual. While I understand busy periods can occur, the extended wait did impact my overall experience.
Furthermore, upon receiving my order of three "Wrap of the Day," I was deeply disappointed to find rubbery and dry chicken fillets in all three wraps. This was unlike any chicken I have previously encountered at McDonald's and fell far below the quality I expect from your brand.
