Very hitty missy, sometimes very tasty, sometimes not. Prices are very reasonable place is a bit dated. Staff are friendly enough.

Lived in Morpeth 15 years. Am 53 , ate fish and chips from all over and never tasted better ! This place is so nice , only discovered during lock down via just eats. Had them 3 times each time perfect. Unreal quality ???? recommend these guys ????????????????????
Just had fish and chips and I have to say its the worst we've ever had. The fish had been cooked for so long it had all dried up and stuck to the batter. You couldn't even scrape it away from the batter. Never again.........
I popped into maylias whilst I was shopping and was exstatic with the fish bites, and also the free chips on the side. The fish bites were enormous and extremely tasty. The batter was light and crispy and the cod flaked gently. It was a real treat and the staff were very generous to give me the chips on the side for free. I have to say well worth it! ????
I often follow the chip shop smell that wafts out of this place, while I'm shopping in town. I find it almost irresistible and frequently treat myself to a 'mid-shop' bag of chips covered in salt and soaked in vinegar! My husband is a big fan of the daily specials which are very cheaply priced. The chicken kebabs which are served at the weekend are delicious. If you're looking for chain restaurant perfection style fish with chips that are served in a little wire basket adorned with a crescent of lemon, then look elsewhere. But if you want good honest food cooked by good, honest and amazingly friendly staff then look no more! Well worth a visit.
Normally the chips are very nice but the last couple of times I have had to wait for chips to be cooked and both times they have been nearly raw! Tonight's were not really edible and they went in the bin
Second time we have had them delivered! Think we must have been the last drop off as were not very hot and the batter had started to go soggy. Won't be getting it from there again!
