Eine Herberge in toller Lage. Gemütlich und sehr kinderfreundlich eingerichtet.
Saubere Zimmer, Gemeinschaftsbäder, wie auf einem Schutzhaus.
Vijf sterren maar toch wat opmerkingen:
Positief:
-warme ontvangst, vriendelijk personeel.
-prima douche (wij hadden een kamer voor twee in een huisje op het terrein)
-kamer was netjes
-eitjes bij het ontbijt
Minder positief:
-avondeten heeft weinig/geen groente. Wel lekkere raclette.
-kamer kon niet op slot (kasten op de kamer trouwens wel)
-bij het ontbijt miste ik fruit (gelukkig had ik zelf nog wat bij me). Het brood is zelf gebakken! maar was al wat ouder? Zeer voedzaam dus. Gelukkig kan het in de broodrooster die op tafel staat.
Staff was pleasant and helpful, but the place is old, worn down, has mold everywhere and smells like fungus. The rooms cannot be locked, the food was awful and the linen was unclean. By far the worst place we've stayed during our Mont Blanc trek so far.
J'ai trouvé chez Maya Joie ce que je recherchais d'une auberge pour un treck du TMB :
- un repas généreux Montagnard avec de la raclette, une bonne soupe et même un petit digestif !
- un accueil chaleureux et sympathique
- une salle où l'on peut jouer au baby foot et jeux de sociétés pour le côté convivial
Bref, une auberge authentique et chaleureuse, ça fait plaisir. ????

only downside is the Breakfast eggs are easily mixed up with other guests and you end up with runny eggs
Ostello grande che accoglie molte persone sulla strada per il TMB. Noi siamo arrivati presto e così abbiamo potuto usufruire della doccia in tranquillità (solo 3 per almeno 40 posti letto). Per il resto è abbastanza ben attrezzato, con un area ricreativa, tanto spazio a sedere all esterno e spogliatoio ampio dove lasciare gli scarponi. Molto bello il panorama circostante.||Abbastanza pulito, colazione un po scarsa e con poca scelta. Cena con raclette, buona ma niente di curato o ricercato. Abbiamo speso 17 euro a testa per la cena e 60 per dormire.
Auberge Maya-joie is an okay place to stay when hiking the TMB. We had booked a double room that had it's own shower (and bath even), we did share the toilettes with other travellers. Heaving our own place to shower was a nice surprise when we were under the impression that we would have to use communal bathrooms. The room was nice and spacious. It had a clean feel. The bed was a little squeeky, but otherwise comfortable enough. The rooms are not soundproof. The downside of our stay was the food. The raclette was fun to try out, though we expected a little more variation in options to put the cheese over. For instance the only 'veggies' available were pickles and little silverskinonions. If you're not a cheese lover (like me) it's better to eat somewhere else, because dinner was basically just cheese. The starter and dessert were okay though. Breakfast was worse, not nearly enough to go on with a full day of hiking ahead. The hostesses were very friendly, and we were able to enter our room a little early due to the weather conditions.
