"How long for a portion of chips? "we asked. "5 minutes", they said. OK, said my wife. While they started to cook six pieces of cod for someone else they set aside ALL the chips that were ready... instead of serving them to us.
15 minutes later they finally handed over to us a tiny portion of overcooked stale-smelling chips that wouldn't feed my child let alone a grown man. £3 for that. NEVER again. A small mandarin is added to the photo for scale. Mean as Scrooge, and far less customer friendly.
As for running out of chips for 15 minutes... no properly run chippy EVER does that.
This place used to be the best fish and chip shop around. Unfortunately it’s been going down hill recently.
Had a batter sausage and chips. The chips were soggy and the sausage was like eating raw mince meat in a condom covered in grease.
The staff are beyond miserable and both look like they can’t stand being there anymore.
You used to get a slice of lemon with fish and offered a choice of vinegar.
Now it’s slap dash.
Shame. They did the building up nicely and then ruin it with poor service and corner cutting.
Please change back to how you were last year.
First rate! It would be fair to say that there are many fish and chip shops on the island and they're mostly all the same but this place really stands out. It says traditional on the sign and thats an understatement. Welcomed as I walked in and met with a smile. Questions answered and order taken. The food was served very quickly and presented very well. Thier choice of packaging meant that the food was still hot when I got home. Prices are good, more than good and the quality was fantastic. I liked that the meat was all butcher produced and not the usual store brand cheap meats that you would usually get at most places. The member of staff who served me was really genuine in his service and I left the place happier than when I went in. You know that feeling you get when you have just found your new favourite take out? I got that. I highly recommend the place and I will be back for sure. Thanks to everyone there. Great experience and great food.
Where do I start 15 minute wait for food a large sausage in batter that when I checked it was 2 small ones a LARGE chips ???? I could have picked up more with one hand and at the price of £3.70 ???? only bonus is the cod I ordered is a fair size but this is a joke never again and I can’t get in contact with them no phone number anywhere

Unfortunately after driving to our usual 1st class chippy marinos in Sittingbourne the A2 was closed so decided to try this one, the chips were dreadful, tasted like they have been frozen and the battered sausage was dreadful,, couldn’t wait to get the taste gone, thank god we have marinos
Went here with my family to celebrate the passing of a family friend, Isaac, the staff was respectful, the food a work of art, the pie with fish in was bloody brilliant. I will be coming back here soon with Krispy. BOSHHH!
Got served this beautiful piece of delicate art. I have to come back here in 5 years, it left me a nice after taste. too many homeless people in the area though, that wanted my beautiful food.
smallest portion of chip s i ever had cost £3.00 I think I counted 36 chips and to add insult sauce was £1.20 normally40p in places not trying to rip you off ..I definitely won't return to this one thanks very much. shocking
